Jesse Boulerice (not a fantasy thread...haha)

Dont get me wrong, I love Jesse's personality....but when was the last time he played in a game? He seems to always be a healthy scratch, and with Vasicek out with the knee shouldnt we be looking to picking up someone to replace him?

I hate to think of any of our players as expendable, but I would think that he would be the first one to go....

Boulerice's decision to sit out and not play during the lockout has seriously effected his game. He's been a healthy scratch, but I am sure they are looking for him to get his legs back and develop a little more before getting back in the lineup. Vrbata deffinately has more trade value, but at this point there is no reason to trade either one. They make the league min. and are solid backups. Ladd and now LaRose have done a good job of filling in for Vasicek so far. If they can keep it up, there might not be any moves to make.

Boulerice isn't having his development hampered *hah* by not playing and being a healthy scratch until called upon. That's exactly the type of player we need for an extra forward, not a talent like Andrew Ladd or Chad Larose. He's there in case of emergency and the occasional game we need a person to throw hands.

His value to this franchise is in his lack of value, imo.

I agree totally. Boulerice is there when we need him. You need a player like him just not for every game.

I didnt know that we werent paying him so little.

I was just thinking we were paying him some top money to sit on the bench for so long. Now it all makes sense.
