Are you referring to playoff tickets or regular season tickets?

Regular season, but I'm not sure you'll have that much better luck for a playoff game unless it's a weekend.

My research says that the secondary market for playoff tickets will be soft. If they play the Hawks or Blues and the team restricts everything to the max, it will be softer.

The Preds will probably had a few weekend games, but they won't get the NBC 12:30 or 3:30 time slot because other teams have much higher TV ratings. If they get a weekend game it will be a 7:00 PM start

Being in Birmingham, I am praying for weekend home games, but its probably a longshot if we don't get home ice in round 1.

Playoffs start on Wed/Thur, so if we don't have home ice, we will be on the road, probably Wed/Fri or Thur/Sat. The only possibility of an early round weekend game might be a Sunday Game 3. A home game 6 could fall on the weekend depending on the start date.

Bridgestone is booked on the 12,15,28, and 30th... So it's safe to say those dates are out.

This is just an educated guess, but with game 1 of most series likely starting on Wed 4/13 or Thur 4/14, looks like our first home game (game 3) is likely to be on Sun 4/17, Mon 4/18, or maybe Tues 4/19.

Monday or Tuesday would be terrible for us out of town folks

I would give anything if we could get hot and steal home ice, but that is probably not going to happen

Well what's done is done. We'll call this a test season for selling and see what happens. I guess the good thing is that we will probably only have 3 games per round max and I haven't yet signed up for rounds 3 and 4 if needed.

Surely our Game 3 of Round 1 would be on Sunday. Of course, that's just speculation on my part.

You can't speculate. There are still too many balls in the air about who is in and who is out. They have to take into consideration the availability of every arena and TV coverage.

Rather than make myself crazy, I just wait.

Please let us know how you make out.

In regards to weekend games, IIRC last year as the lower seed Chicago had 2 weekend games against us and we had zero.

Edit: this is correct. Last year for us it went: Wednesday - NSH, Friday - NSH, Sunday - CHI, Tuesday - CHI, Thursday - NSH, Saturday - CHI.

It really sucks that the TV Networks have that much input on scheduling. That being said, they pay a lot of money to the league and they are in the business of selling commercial time.

How did TV impact who had a home game on what day? We had home ice and the series started on Wednesday. There is a game every other day. It just worked out that games 3 and 6 fell on the weekend

NBC prefers certain teams play in the national time slot.... and if it means giving someone an extra day of rest so be it.

There were no extra days off in our series and we started on the first day. Again, not sure how this applies to our playoffs last year.

How does the mobile entry work? I live almost 300 miles away and have always printed tickets but was going to try the phone entry method. Is the ticket accessed through My Smashville website? Exactly how does a first time mobile entry customer set up the ticket?

My dad has the season tickets on his account, and we often arrive to the game at separate times. So, I attached a credit card to my TicketMaster account and opt-in every game to use my card as the ticket. Works flawlessly.

Download the smashville app, you can display the barcodes for the tickets in the app

Thanks for addressing my question, I just used a paper ticket last week but will check out the app for the future.

Does anyone know how playoff ticket sales are going? My guess is not great since they extended the time for season ticket holders to buy seats. It sounds like the seat locations will show up on 4/6...I'm curious to see what section my primary tickets are in.

I assume since we are playing either LA or Anaheim, the ticket sales won't be restricted like they are against St. Louis and Chicago?

Yeah I don't think there will be any restrictions.

It took a while to sell out last year's series and that is with Chicago fans doing everything they could to get in. Will probably be close this year.

We've sold out ("sold out") 34 of 39 games this year but we have trouble with playoff games? Makes sense.

Did anyone get an email stating that STH can buy additional playoff single game tickets (presale)? I have not been able to get it to work.

I got the email 3/31 and tried it out by clicking on the link in it. It is working for me.

Doubt the Preds will be giving away many free tickets for the playoffs.

Alot of those are fake sellouts (meaning the team buys the tickets and gives them away or writes off the loss). I was told that last Monday's game was a sell out but there was probably 25-30% of my section that was empty for the entire game. If it truly was a sell out I would have expected that number to be closer to 10% or less.
