It's almost that time....

so what's tops on the Rangers wishlist for Christmas? What New Year's resolutions does the team as a whole need to make?

A very solid 2nd line goal scoring center. Also, a big presence on the defense. Get Poti outta here, he's not gonna help at all when it comes to crunch time, especially late in the season or post-season.

A win against a +500 team wouldn't be asking for much...

What he said OR a 2nd line goal scoring winger. Petr Sykora would be nice

Brian Leetch?

As for resolutions ... how about the team stop relying on goaltending / Jagr to get them Ws ... some balanced scoring, especially contributions from defesnemen, would be splendid.

How about lowering some of the expectations about this team which have gotten way,way out of hand and are unrealistic

Stopping suggestions such as sitting a 22 year old Maxim Kondratiev for 30 year old journeyman Jason Strudwick

I would like to see some of the younger players from Hartford called up rather than look to add old relics such as Brian Leetch

How about Santa puts some sticks under the tree that don't break for Jagr. Another broken one last night....(on the PP)

Speaking of Jagr, did anyone else notice he went straight to the locker room as soon as the game ended while the rest of the team went to Weekes to tell him "good game".

Don't quote me now, but the primma donna that is Jaromir Jagr may soon come to surface. Each game that goes by he is growing more and more frustrated...not to mention his apparent disagreement with Renney on the PP strategy (which I agree with Renney on).

If there is anyone who has the right to be frustrated, it is him. If he's not doing well, this team is not doing well - that's a lot of pressure. As for the PP, I think both Jagr and Renney are wrong. Renney is wrong because the defense can't be the focal point of our PP- our defensman are too inept to have that much offensive responsibility. Jagr is wrong because he leading the powerplay is way too predictable- most teams have diagnosed out to treat the NYR powerplay.
