The Nitty Gritty

He was great last night. It is nice to see the stability in the clutch times for the Flyers. The final few seconds of the first against Smolinski, the 5 on 3 and the Schafer breakaway all quality and filled with pressure. His most impressive qualities have to be his rebound CONTROL and his lateral movement.
Sure he will have his share of rough games but this kid is really making the best of his opportunities.
In addition Umberger was great again, I truly underestimated his true talent and ability- he is going to be something.
And finally Brashear- I am always quick to criticize the guy but he was fantastic last night. He had McGratton running around and minus-2 in the first and was a presence all night. His clip of Chara and his body checks were a detrimental part of the game.

Merry Christmas Flyer fans- we are the best! Enjoy your families, health and prospers..... and the holiday games as well. Hope to read from you all in the New Year!

Agreed, however, you can argue that his "thinking" by not dropping the gloves with McGoon and the goal that was subsequently scored won the game for the Flyers last night.
