Create a team....

Create a team with players drafted or signed. No free agents, and no trades. All players have to be active or still unsigned.

I'll do Detroit.

RW/C/LW
Yzerman - Fedorov - Zetterberg
McCarty - Oates - Kozlov
Lapointe - Sillinger - Holmstrom
Williams - Datsyuk - Avery

Lidstrom - Boughner
York - Fischer
Dandenault - Pushor

Osgood
?

Los Angeles Kings

Forwards

Luc Robitaille- Olli Jokinen- Dustin Brown
Alexander Frolov- Robert Lang- Martin Gelinas
Rem Murray- Eric Belanger- Mike Cammalleri
Jaroslav Bednar- Justin Papineau- Josh Green

Defense

Rob Blake- Alexei Zhitnik
Darryl Sydor- Kimmo Timmonen
Lubomir Visnovsky- Joe Corvo

Jamie Storr
Stephen Valiquette

Defense is awesome. Your talking about 4 #1 d-man. Forwards are a bit shaky.

Goaltending is awful.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Marcus Naslund-Mario Lemieux-Jaromir Jagr
Tomas Surovy-Martin Straka-Mark Recchi
Matt Murley-Jan Hrdina-Aleksey Morozov
Ryan Malone-Richard Park-Konstantin Koltsov

Michal Rozsival-Josef Melichar
Brooks Orpik-Chris Tamer
Andrew Ference-Sven Butenschon

Patrick Lalime
Marc-Andre Fleury

...ouch.

Those are some solid forwards. Weak on the left side with really only Naslund, but deep at RW and C. Defense is pathetic...simply pathetic. Only other player really making any impact in the NHL drafted by the Pens is Ian Moran...and that's a negative one. Goaltending is rock solid though, one of the 3 best goalies in the game today and the future backing him up.

I am an Idiot sometimes, read the whole post, I would substitute Drake for Holmstrom if I were doing the Wings. (Braces self for firestorm of critisism.)

I wasn't sure if undrafted free agent prospects where eligble, so I decided they were. There's no reason for them not to be because those players were only signed because the scouting department scouted them and saw something in them.
