He was great on a really bad team last year as a rookie. I don't think they've played more than one game, Wisconsin lost 6-2 and Gilbert had a goal and assist, so he was in on both scoring opportunities. So far he's been an excellent pickup.
He will be playing in Wisconsin this year. His upside? He could be another mid-round steal for the Avs ala JM Liles. He is about as offensively gifted, but has much better size. I don't think being a #4-#6 defenseman is out of reach. I've only seen him play a few times, so my evaluation is somewhat limited. Keep an eye on the Avs prospect thread, I'll be updating it every weekend for information on the Avs collegiate prospects.
