i'm shocked...i listened to enough of the game to hear the Kings go down a goal and Luc take a couple penalties...i pretty much settled for a loos already...but i came home, turned on the TV to see Kings 5-2...couldnt believe it....
But these injuries are starting to pile up...who's going to be ready to play by Friday...we're going to need them for EDM
Mathieu Garon has been better then Theodore for a while now, and he's much cheaper. He just needed a time to adapt. I stole him in my Yahoo Pool because I knew he would play like one hell of a number one.
Honestly, Labarbera is not as good as Garon, I dont even think its close.
You're right, he isn't! The only thing Labarberra has on him is size. Garon moves much better laterally as well. When labarberra moves across the crease I cringe.
Too bad the Flames didn't have a GDT going. I was looking forward to their reaction.
Okay heres some reaction from a flames fan saw the highlights and listened to most of it on the radio.
Calgary had a couple key cogs missing due to injury as well Hamrlik and Yelle.
Calgarys D is deep enough Hamrlik shouldn't have really mattered. However, missing Yelle has been a big loss for the team. Arguably the best shut down forward in the league. since he went out Calgary has blown 2 goals leads in successive games, something that doesn't normally happen to Calgary.
Kipper has been rather unspectacular the last few games and looks like he is getting tired. Although i'm not going to say either loss in Edmonton or to LA was his fault as the whole team looks rather uninspired right now. They seem to have lost the aggressive spark which is the key to the teams success.
Props to LA for the win, from the sounds of it they outplayed the flames and got rewarded for their efforts. Sounded like a pretty mediocre game, even when the flames were leading 2-0 it was one of the quietest games i've heard in the dome for awhile.
Whats with the lack of consistency in officiating lately though. 8 PPs in the 1st, 7 in the 2nd and 2 in the 3rd. Are you seriously telling me the players cleaned up the game that much in the 3rd or did the standards of officiating suddenly change mid game as they did in the CGY vs EDM game on monday?
Don't know why you guys were worried about getting blown out in Calgary. LA owns the NW division Now keep it up on friday in Edmonton so when we beat the canucks again we can regain the division lead

We'll do what we can
Hopefully Conroy will be healthy, Belanger's groin will heal, Miller will be back , etc
It's kinda ironic that neither of our teams can hold a lead against the other at home.
Good luck until we meet next time and Merry Christmas to you

The Kings should hire Ties as their good luck charm
Next one will be tough. I love the Oilers. If I had to pull for a 2nd team it would be them, its just a shame they have to be the fifth victim of the pre-game rap.

i didnt expect much from the Kings becuase they have been in a month-long slump...add to that they were down our two best Centers and one of our best Dman....add on to that, they just lost much of their touhgness in Cowan and JR....
Every team is going to slump at some point in the season. Ok except for maybe Ottawa. But i think the Kings are snapping out of theirs and they haven't really lost much ground at all. If Garon keeps his dominant play up the Kings should be in every game.

Ottawa has lost 5 of their last 7 games. I would still call that a slump.
beating a dead horse...but the Kings PP still looks extremely ineffective...if that doesnt improve drastically, then the Kings will have a awfully difficult time being a solid team
