Good deal, Edmonton defeats Vancouver tonight 7-6 so Dallas moves into 2nd place in the conference. Man these games in hand are going to come in handy.

Kind of scary how well all these playoff teams are doing this season so far.

Heard on the Oiler broadcast, this is the first time an Oiler team has had 20 wins before Christmas since the 89-90 season.

Dallas is off to one of their best starts in francise history. 1st place through 7th place is only seperated by 7 points. The Pacific Division and Northwest Division both have teams tied for first place. And in the Central, 1st place is only infront of 2nd by 2 points. This is good hockey for sure.

Ok Here are my thoughts...

Absolutely the worst effort by far since we played Los Angeles in the first game of November.

Powerplay..worthless again tonight. Teams give us chances like that, especially with less than a minute to go and we still can't score?! Come on Stars. We know you're better than that.

I don't know if it was because if the first game back after a long road trip or what (which I still don't think should be an excuse) but tonight just wasn't our night.

The turnovers no doubt killed us, especially with those last two goals. Don't really have much else to say except we need to wake up and get ready for St.Louis.

And one note...
Thank you Edmonton!

Once again a team we should beat and get points from and we give away points. Not a well played game from all aspects. PP has got to find something different. This aint working. They pass and pass and pass and pass again then when the crowd starts to react, they start taking bad shots. Seems to me, and I am not a hockey coach, that if there is nothing there in the first cpl of passes, then lets change the attack method. Someone needs to be watching film of the top PP teams and se what they are doing..... As Razor has said you cant score if you dont shoot...
