Bad old Sabres screwing up the game you figured they win. You know what I mean.

Instead, they worked and worked and put together another chapter in what has (so far) been a remarkable season.
I never fear this team losing when they fall behind on the scoresheet nowadays...

I love watching these guys in the third period. They never seem to wear down. And I have to echo what Jim Lorentz has been saying all third period. They are FUN to watch working the puck on the powerplay.

Nice statement to make to the Islanders...we'll spot you two and still come back and thump your ***.

I'd much rather win a game like this than a 5-0 "Snow Plowed in Bufalo" game.

That was creative though.

6 wins when we trail after 2 periods. Gotta love that!

This new, nongritty Islanders team has some serious issues... mainly... Miroslav Satan.

And I don't why anyone should be upset that the fans boo when Zhitnik or Satan touch the puck. It's hockey, not golf. They're not Sabres anymore,Satan was a ***** and Zhitnik was a greedy *****.

Just a little food for thought:

Of all the Sabres to get a point tonite, only Derek Roy had a single point. Everybody else had 2. Odd, that.

Ottawa wins which was a good thing to be honest. I think the Rangers are on the verge of taking a serious fall in the standings. Montreal also loses. Toronto wins, but at the expense of New Jersey.

Not a bad night at all.

Did you guys see the Darcy Tucker head butt on Janssen? He got a match penalty, meaning he'll likely be out of the lineup Thursday against the Sabres.

It couldn't happen to a nicer retard. He sure came by the Sideshow Bob moniker honestly.

I guess he took Janssen's helmet off and hit him with it (box scores show a "head butting" major). I caught the tail end of the Sportsnet intermission report, and they showed Cam's cut. He'll probably get one, maybe two games. Toronto plays Pittsburgh tomorrow, and then the Sabres on Thursday. Hmmm...

Miller gave a very Bironesque performance. Zhitnik showed that the size of his heart is only rivaled by his lack of judgement. Satan was Satan. All in all a very good night for the Sabres.

I was about to say the same thing. Glad to see that miller can win games and have the offense bail him out when he lets in 3 goals and doesn't have a strong outing.

Just saw the replay. Janssen was getting the better of the tilt, then Tucker ripped Janssen's lid off and clocked him twice in (what looked to be) the side of the head with it. Not sure if it got tangled on his hand or what, but I hope he gets a little vacation.

I'm going out on a limb here and saying that when you batter a guy TWICE in the head with his own helmet, even a member of the Blessed Maple Leafs might find themselves facing discipline.

Satan only cares about Satan's stats. He's a tremendous talent to add as the final piece to the puzzle on team contending for a championship, but he's not a core player that gets a team there. He won't pay the price to get a "W" and neither will Yashin.

Are you kidding? Listen to Pat Quinn or any Leafs fan, and you'll know for a fact Toronto is the most persecuted and hounded team in the NHL!

I'm stoked for the next game... you folks have no idea how many Leafs fans I'm surrounded by daily since birth...

Didn't something similar happen a couple years ago with a Sabre (...Mair?) where the opposition's helmet got tangled in one of our fists and added to both the pain inflicted and the pim total of the player?

Was Tucker's blatently intentional?

That was Adam "Helmets of Fury" Mair in a tussle with his least favorite Sen, Chris Neil.

Tucker blatently hit him 2X with the helmet. Suspension for sure.

Back to the game....

WOW.

These guys are amazing.

Can anyone fill me in on Vanek? Is this how he scored most of his goals last year in Rochester? I love it. He had an amazing night.

The Goose line changes the game again by drawing the penalties that led to the tying and winning goals!

Does anyone else feel that the fact that we don't burn out any particular line or D pairing gives us the fresh legs in the 3rd? IT's really starting to seem like that is a huge factor come the 3rd period.

Also, our PP is deadly, and TC is da MAN.
