Alexandr Kadeykin has been traded in KHL: from SKA team to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

Thanks. Hopefully this means a lot more ice time for him. Do you know the current status of his KHL contract?

He has one more year left on his contract.

That sounds good. SKA is a tough place for a non-elite young player to develop. He has one more year on his KHL contact.

Kind of disappointed he signed, wanted him in the CHL.

Pretty sure CHL no longer allows Euro goalies.

He didn't have a very good season, especially with Linköping. Started as the no.1 and after a few months it was more of a tandem situation. Then after the WJC and announcing his contact with Davos in mid January he basically didn't play anymore.

Griffins sign Jake Barre, played in Dartmouth College. Big kid at 6'2'', 216lbs. 26 pts in 29 games last year.

Not really:

Pre-WJC: 0.68 pts/gp
Post-WJC: 0.77 pts/gp

What really hurt his production was the incident on Nov 8th. Who knows what his rest of the season would have been like had he not played at the WJC.

Pre-incident: 0.94 pts/gp
Incident -> WJC: 0.27 pts/gp
Post-WJC: 0.77 pts/gp

Different case coming in as a new face after things have been cleaned up, vs having gone through it all.

Based on the price paid, I bet Missy had some assurances he would be there come the fall. It's probably a good spot for him as well, the Steelheads will be a very good team this coming season.

Good for him. Last thing we need is our promising prospects in a toxic situation. I'm sure the Wings were okay with this considering he threatened to go back to Finland.

Been hearing he's had off ice issues for a while now. Hopefully he gets his act together, apparently he's pretty talented.

Dennis Cholowski 6'3 Left - Vili Saarijärvi 5'10 Right
Xavier Ouellet 6'1 Left --- Filip Hronek 6'0 Right
Joe Hicketts 5'8 Left --- Ryan Sproul 6'4 Right
Dan Renouf 6'3 Left --- Robbie Russo 6'0 Right
Alfons Malmström 6'3 Left - Jordan Sambrook 6'2 Right
James DeHaas 6'3 Left --- Patrick Holway 6'4 Right
Mike McKee 6'5 Left --- Nick Jensen 6'0 Right

First time I'm gonna like more of our pack of right-handed defencemen, than lefties. Still, Cholowski could be the best from group.

Stephen Dhillion has been invited to the Wings' prospect camp.

6'4'', 181lbs goalie, won the team ''rookie of the year'' award for the Ice Dogs.

Justin Brazeau was also invited. Looks a big (6'4'', 195lbs) bruising kid, RW.

Where did you see this? Is there a complete list of all the invites anywhere?

I thought Dhillon played pretty well when given the opportunity last season. He should be given a starters role this year too.

Really like the Saarijarvi trade.

Glad he is staying in the OHL. Could be primed for a big season. I have high hopes for this kid.... for my money he is a better prospect then Juolevi. Last year was just crap show in Flint. Amazing he was able to even do what he did.

I live in London and watch him all the time. He isn't what people think he is.
He was in no way an offensive catalyst for London... just benefitted from being 1st PP on the highest scoring team in the league. And still his offensive numbers weren't that great.

He doesn't like the physical stuff and is quite soft. That's going to be a problem in the pros. We'll see, I guess his draft position makes him sexy at the moment.

I just have much more doubt about Saarijarvi than Juolevi. We'll see how he does away from the Flint debacle.
