Canucks @ Wild GDT, Game #5

@

Sat. Oct 18, 2003 5:00 PM PST

XCEL Energy Center -- MIN
Listen: CKNW

Lest we forget: "For Vancouver, the postseason tank job was especially disconcerting because of Dan Cloutier's already fragile confidence. The Wild dominated Games 5 and 6 by scores of 7-2 and 5-1, then came back from a two-goal deficit in Vancouver in Game 7 to win 4-2 before a silent, stunned crowd at GM Place."

However, the 'Nucks did take it to the Wild in preseason... winning both games. Unfortunately preseason games don't count.

Hedberg will no doubt get the nod b/c he's expected to play one of the road games anyway.

I don't think this game is televised so it's radio only.

Prediction:

Canucks 4 Wild 2

Just don't lose 3 games in a row guys... that's not good.

Big game for the Canucks. They have to win this one to rebound from the dissapointing loss on Thursday night. I think Cloutier may get the nod for this one.

We don't even need to watch this one (even if they let us). Canucks win.

You've already jinxed us by calling it "Canucks @ Wild Game 5", why'd you have to do that? So many bad memories...

My stomach is in a lot of pain, so 5-1 Canucks. The lone Wild goal scored by Daigle!

Are you sure the game isn't televised?

http://www.indemand.com/sports/nhl20...e/schedule.jsp

That's the site I refer to to see which games are on centre ice, it says this game will be broadcasted?

I think you'll be able to get it on centre ice, but I'm not sure.

The Wild are not the same team without Gaborik and Dupuis, the Canucks should be plenty angry from losing 2 in a row, not to mention last years playoff debacle. I will say...

Vancouver 4
(Bertuzzi 2, Salo, Daniel Sedin)

Minnesota 2
(Daigle, Walz)

Honestly without Canuck killers Gaborik and Cloutier in the lineup, the Canucks should win.

Televised but not broadcast on cable or PPV in Vancouver. We don't get FSNO out here as far as I know.

Ah, I thought you guys meant it wasn't being broadcast at all.

Either way I'll have to miss it.

If the Canucks don't win this one when the Wild don't have Gaborik, I'll be really disappointed.

Hope Walz and Hendrickson don't come up with big games like they did in the playoffs. I still am stunned by Minnesota beating us. How'd they do it!?!

Gameday Thread: Canucks @ Minesota

Nevermind, missed Thalia's thread.

If we lose this one, Thalia, no more making Gameday threads! We're a supersticious bunch around here

Canucks lose this one. 4-1 to the Wild. They seem to be struggling. I actually don't think this will be the result, but the reverse mojo seems to work pretty well for me

Wasn't Miz suppose to start this thread? Anyways, since we messed that up:

Vancouver 3
Min 10

If we delete this thread now and start a new GDT:

Vancouver 4
Minny 1

How on earth was I supposed to know that Miz was supposed to start the thread? This is getting kind of silly imo. Tell you all what though, if you really think that my starting the GDT will mean the 'Nucks lose, then I'll delete it and "Miz" can start a new one okay?
