Oh, that is nasty! What, did the owners 2 month old kid draw it?
I think this version of the logo may have been hand made, I found it at http://www.hockeydb.com their logo collection is very complete. The actual logo was a little better looking, not a lot.
That Blues one is horrible, a close second for me is the Flames' Flaming Snotball or Horseface jersey. Yuck. Nashville's 3rd, NYI's Captain Highliner and that new orange piece of crap for New York are bad as well.
You guys have really dug up some old chestnuts...I thought the Vancouver ones were the absolute worst...and then there was that ugly orange thing that the Islanders have.
I have yet to see a third jersey that is worth wearing. Colorado's third is a nice color but a lousy design, Nashville's is butt ugly (where did they come up with that color?), Boston's is blinding, I saw Dallas' new one tonight (and it's not worth writing home about) and I saw a picture of the new Anaheim one in the Free Press yesterday - what were they smoking when they came up with that one?
Thank God the Wings don't need or want a third...why mess with perfection?
Oh by the way, thanks for digging up all those old jerseys...some of them were really laughable, some brought back memories - mostly painful ones. It hurts to see how some teams got taken by designers.
What a great thread. Never saw that third Blues jersey before. Keenan should go into the Hall of Fame for squelching that turd. Yeah, I agree that those "Wild Wing" and King jerseys were awful, but as for the Seals, the Canucks "V" jerseys, the Kings purple and yellow.... IT WAS THE 70'S!!!! Nobody could restrain themselves.
No need to be so defensive - after all, I was just stating MY opinion (which I have a feeling is in concordance with the majority). Obviously there's no "right" or "wrong" when you're talking about something as subjective as jersey preference.
For the record, I think the canary yellow flying V is the worst canucks jersey by a quite some margin:
I actully dont hate it. It just looks like a leisure suit. If they would bring back the long pants from the 80s and wear them with these jerseys....That would be lethal.

oh dude, youd be so IN with the ladies sporting that purple trumpet shirt
Islanders get the call for their Capt. D's rendition jersey and that orange abomination they wear now. Stars get my vote for worst collection of jerseys. The giant star is just lame beyond belief and the new "evil steer" is queer. That old Kings jersey is pretty awful too but being long defunct and having been replaced by fairly respectable jersies the Fish Sticks and South Stars get the nod.
PS - I think one of the male designers from Trading Spaces developed that Blues jersey that Keenan axed (his greatest accomplishment, saving the NHL from that POS).
I really think I'm the only person that likes those. I play the Bruins in video game hockey just because I love their uniforms. I don't know why, but I really dig the gold third jersey.
I like the jersey, too. I don't see what's so bad about it.
That jersey was hideous, St Louis had good colors to work with but it was misused. All those horns made the jersey too busy, had nothing to do with hockey uniform. IMO logos should go in the center of the jersey and maybe some shoulder patch but not everywhere.
.
That comment makes no since to me. Nothing to do with hockey?
What does the winged tire have to do with hockey? The blue note? The statue of liberty? A Star? A Duck head? the inuit killer whale? A maple leaf?
Nothing, until a hockey team decides to use them for thier sweater........
