What does the winged tire have to do with hockey? The blue note? The statue of liberty? A Star? A Duck head? the inuit killer whale? A maple leaf?
Nothing, until a hockey team decides to use them for thier sweater........
Let me make more SINCE. By tradition and good looks, hockey have not changed that much over the last 100 years. Horizontal stripes 2, 3 or 4 colors that go well together. A logo crest on the front, numbers in the back and on the sleeves above the elbow.
That St Louis creation was the total opposite of that. For years young hockey fans used to draw their favorite team jersey on their notebooks. Their drawings would very often be of hockey players.
That design would be OK for an ad campaign or a poster but has nothing to do with what a hockey jersey should look like.
