Neil Smith Picks Flyers

After the Bruins-Caps game on OLN, Bill Clement asked each studio guest to select a team that has not met expectations in the first half of the season but which will rise in the second. Keith Jones picked Atlanta (my choice, too), Pierre Maguire selected San Jose followed Neil Smith's pick of the Flyers. Clement mentioned "You know you are picking a first place team?" to which Smith replied that their game will be elevated even more when the injured players return. Overall, Smith praised them.

Not my #1 pick, but over the past few weeks (since the Calgary game) I've been less than impressed

I'd say they're still regressing, to tell you the truth. The games haven't been getting any cleaner, especially that Cats game (which may have just been a travel hiccup, but who knows). Forsberg's line needs to get something going soon, too. When you're a team with one real scoring line, it's bad when they can't get the job done.
