jurcina needs to play

either put him in the lineup, or send him to P-town. there's no reason to have the kid sitting around and not playing. anyone else unhappy about this?

I didn't even realize he was still up here, until you mentioned it yesterday. I agree, the kid will get rusty sitting on the sides. Let him play in Providence and stay in game shape.

I mentioned it in another thread, bring up a no-shot NHL'er like Brennan to be scratched every game. Jurcina needs to play PROFESSIONAL hockey, whether it be minor or NHL...

I agree 100%. I would even rather see him than Moran who has been horrible this year so far. If you arent gonna play him, let him play in Providence so he can develop.

or better yet...do as toronto and the wings do. even though you're allowed a 23 man roster-dress 22 and let the guys in the AHL know that there's a spot to be had IF THEY EARN IT. dont just go giving up something for nothing IMO

While he may be learning a bit more about the pro game from watching in the pressbox, I've got to agree: he needs to be playing everyday in either the NHL or AHL. C'mon Sully, give him a chance!

the thing is, i can't imagine he'll be playing against dallas. and, i doubt they'll send him packing before giving him a chance in the show. so, i would assume that he'll be seeing action vs. los angeles at the earliest, which by my count is another 5 days of sitting down

I gotta agree here, what's the sense of having him sit in the press box game in and game out? If you aren't ready to play him, send him the Providence to get him adjusted to Pro Life and stay in shape. Bring up Brennan to sit in the press box, and call up Jurcina if need be.....

Is it a possibility that he's injured and it hasn't been reported?

perhaps- but i'd think we'd hear about this. my guess is that sully had reservations about playing jillson AND jurcina at the same time. but if that was the case, he should've kept brennan up here to ride the pine. i just created a post that i'm hoping will serve all of us quite well- it's a post directed to KPD and dale and the rest of the media, and it allows us to throw down some questions/ideas, and maybe they can relay some of them to sully/OC

Reminds me of a certain Ian Moran who played in Pittsburgh a while.

We warned you.
4th round pick for Moran.
Why did all the analysts say that Boston won that trade.
There was a parade in Pittsburgh and in my school's computer lab (in Montreal) when Moran got traded to Boston. It was the best news for the Penguins last year. I wanted to shoot this guy.

We ended up taking Paul Bissonette who might turn out as a steal in the Draft.

If what you say is true, then why, at the time Moran was traded, was he the longest-playing Penguin on Pittsburgh's roster except for Mario Lemieux? Obviously, the Pengins must have liked Moran or they would have dumped him long before...

Moran has an upbeat persona and some versatility. He's a utility defenseman who can also play forward.

Well, do you remember Don Sweeney ? Everyone want him go last 2 years, and he was a Bruins for almost 15 years

I agree that Jurcina needs ice time, but I'd rather he get it in Providence, rather than "P-Town"......not much ice in Provincetown...lol.
