Kraft won't move his way up from the 4th line.
He needs some icetime, with skilled forwards.
No need to make the same mistakes we've made with so many prospects (Kraft, Morozov, Dome, etc...).
Let's try to take example on a team like Colorado that gives top two lines icetime to their skilled youngsters.
I think Krafty should be placed on the 3rd line and be made to work his way up. Not just with point necessarily but with all-around solid play. Hustle, fore-checking, etc. If he has either Abid or Fata on his line, that should be enough to generate some good scoring chances.
Putting him on line 4 would heavy-handed IMO, while putting him on line 2 would be unfair to the guys who have earned that spot thus far. Line 3 is where he belongs, with one other decent forward to generate chances for each other.
Either way, he's either going to skate hard or end up on some other team.
In the games thus far, I have been very impressed a majority of the time with Koltsov. However, I still feel there is something not right there. Primarily, I have noticed the guy seems exceptionally prone when he is dashing in off the wing with the puck to having his stick lifted and the puck stripped. In the Montreal game alone, I counted 4 times he got stripped in this manner. I really wish that he could flip to the other side of the ice and take the pass on the front of the blade and additionally, use his body (coming off the left side) to protect the puck and head to the net.
I really would like to see him on the LW with Mario playing center. Did he play any of his WBS time at LW?
The Pens are playing horribly, despite all the help they're getting from the refs. 2-1 after one.
Straka had a brutal 1st period. Fleury looked pretty careless and killed a powerplay opportunity with a bad outlet pass. Morozov looks real good. Koltsov is not moving the puck on the powerplay. Orpik went for an open ice hit and ran over a teammate instead.
