Connors may not make the team out of TC and could possibly spend the season with the Moose, just like Scheifele, Petan and Copp. I'm pleased at the signing also, but lets not get too far carried away just quite yet.
Realistic expectations...rare commodity around here.
Too much gravitas is put on every move, attempt, success and failure.

Happy the kid is signed, and happy that the Jets ended the season playing hard...win or lose as long as there was no quit.

Gary Roberts is the most overrated person on HF and he isn't even a player anymore.

I think the most over rated guy who isn't a player or coach anymore is easily Adam Oates.

Gary Roberts is overrated in the sense that there are plenty of other great trainers that players could choose to work with. Gary Roberts is not overrated in the sense that offseason training is incredibly important. Imagine how Trouba could've played this year if he trained like Scheifele did in the offseasons.

Overrated or not I'd say both Roberts and Oates have focussed Scheif's development to a great degree & for that they deserve some accolades.

"Most"... How about none

If you're talking about Toews, I doubt that there are any people on HF making in a lifetime what he'll make in 1 year of his new contract - north of $10,000,000 USD (I believe this is what he'll be earning when the new contract kicks in next year - or this year - not sure when exactly... whatever, it's a ****load of cash)

It's Gary Roberts all over again. He wasn't the first and probably isn't the best but he's the most well known. Filling a hole in player development that teams arent.

ask 55? Did his coach who had his team in dead last in PP or 20th in goals or 22nd in goals against or 25th in pts have more to do with his improvement than his skills coach?
Get real buddy! The Jets coaching sucks!!!

Not sure how you would know that Gary's training would be overrated, unless you have attended it?

Hey, we're fuelled by passion!

I'm very happy Connor signed.

If you enjoy a little schadenfreude, check out Canucks fans reaction to Boeser announcing he'll stay another year at UND. I hope he stays another 3!

Connor is an exceptional triggerman and excels at getting open and utilizing space. He doesn't need the puck on his stick to be effective. That speaks volumes for our special teams.

Woot the next guy who we'll complain isn't getting a chance/is getting dragged down by being on a line with X and X.

Also deserves to be put on 1st/2nd line immediately where he can flourish.
