Sens-Ducks GDT

I will be attending this game tonight...cheering on the Sens.

Hopefully the Sens come in angry after their loss to the Kings on Wednesday Night and take it to the Ducks. The Ducks have had 5 days off, after their 0-3 start, whether this helps or hurts, no one knows. Another loss for Anaheim and we could start hearing the "Carolina Hurricanes" whispers.

Lalime vs. JSG should be the goaltending matchup. Anaheim is without Keith Carney. The Sens are without Mike Fisher and Shane Hnidy.

Tonight should also be the debut of Martin Havlat, who skated with the team yesterday at Disney Ice, that can only help the Sens to get a player of his caliber inserted into the lineup.

Prediction

Ottawa 4 (Hossa, Smolinski, Volchenkov, White)
Anaheim 2 (Fedorov, Niedermayer)

2-1 Ducks. I can't see them starting off the season 0-4.

What are you talking about? People have been "whispering" this since the Ducks made the Cup Finals. Nothing like a bitter Kings fan.

I think it was stupid for anyone to be saying it before the season started. So don't lump me in with that group, I actually picked the Ducks to make the playoffs. But if they start 0-4, you gotta start wondering if it was a fluke or not.

BTW, why should I be bitter? The Kings are 3-1, having played 3 games on the road. And 2 of the 4 opponents being Cup Contenders. The Ducks are 0-3 and have to face one of the best teams in the NHL tonight.

If you haven't noticed Herby. Ducks fans love to call us names when they don't have a point.

Here are a couple examples:

it should be an interesting game.. Andy Mac should be back in the line-up.. they also changed their lines.. i'm sure you have rolled on by to the Ducks board.. but the first line is now consisting of
Prospal-Fedorov-Sykora
i hope this line produces...

I doubt Havlat would be playing tonight, he stated he wasn't ready yet.

Ottawa should come out firing on all cylinders to avenge for their loss Wednesday night.

I don't even know you, so maybe I jumped to a conclusion. Hope you enjoy the game. And thanks for spending money on the Sergei Fedorov fund.

3-0 Final. Of course it's still very early, but Anaheim has to be worried when only Rob Niedermayer has scored, and only twice, in their first 4 games. Especially after spending so much on Fedorov and Prospal.

Well... I was half right on my prediction. Lalime got the shutout. Good job, Patrick.

And GO SMOKE! He scored his first goal of the season against his former nemesis in the Ducks.

I can't believe how snakebit the Ducks are right now. So many chances, no goals. It can't go on like this forever.

Thought Anaheim put on a pretty good effort but they cant buy a bounce to save there lifes rite now.

Lupul and Chistov looked very good out there tonight.

Anaheim is clearly a better team than 0-4 and i am saying this despite that i am getting killed in one of the fantasy Head to Head leagues on Yahoo where i got

Prospal, Sykora, Hävelid not a great production there so far

12 games inbetween them and this is the pts they have given me

0G 0A -10(+/-) 2 PIM just brutal for 12 played games

But lets hope they start to find away to get the biscuit in the basket

No matter how much you chuckle it still doesn't change the result of last season's series does it?

Don't worry about it, every team slumps, the Ducks are just doing it at the beginning of the season.

Just got back from the game, seriously a very weak crowd. A Friday night game against a great team, and I would say there was about 9,000 people there, although the announced attendance was alot more.

Jason Spezza and Stan Chistov looked excellent, Spezza in particular, you can just see how much of a stud he is/is going to be, the vision is unreal. And Chistov is just so shifty, he had one pass to Lupul, that I still have no idea how Lupul missed.

I know its only been 4 games, but Prospal looks like an awful signing. He was floating as bad as I have ever seen a guy float, hell Craig Johnson had a better game. I know he will break out of it and score some goals, but this guy is overpaid, last year was a career year.

Lalime, what else can you say but wow, that save he made on Sykora was right in front of us, it was a beauty.

I think Sunday's game against Boston is a must win for the Ducks this early in the year. Boston will be on a back to back situation, if the Ducks lose to them it could be trouble. They have pretty much spotted LA, Phoenix and Dallas pretty good leads. If LA and/or Phoenix win their games on Saturday, the Ducks will be 8 pts out of 1st place, yes its early, but those pts will look huge come April.

He's on his 5th team in 6 years for a reason

The Kings are going to have Potvin on Saturday and The Ducks will have Raycroft
