Don't mean to drop a turd in the punchbowl, but this year has been a disappointment for Hogeboom. I've been a huge fan of his and expected him to be listed among the Kings top 10 prospects this year, but instead he couldn't even make the AHL out of the gate? In my opinion at this stage in his development, he should be about even with Kanko on the depth chart, and ahead of somebody like Ryan. (I realize he's not a center.) Anyway, good for him getting that 1st goal and hopefully he plays very well in Manch.

Kearney, you do know he missed all of last season with injuries don't you? He's behind the curve somewhat, but we're pulling for the guy. Listen to KJ, he is all Hogeboom knowing.

Hogie is going to be just fine. He's been working hard in Reading and it has paid off with his selection to the ECHL All-Star team and being called up to the Monarchs.

The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced that goaltender Cody Rudkowsky, right wing Greg Hogeboom, and defenseman T.J. Kemp have been selected to represent the Royals as part of the American Conference squad in the 2006 ECHL All-Star Game Presented By Bud Light on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 (7:00 pm pst), at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

Maybe some of you fans can go see them play in Fresno.

Yes of course. And I'm cetrainly not labelling him a 'bust' for being injured. I was just shocked to see him sent to Reading. Hopefully he'll never go back.
