Brendl and St. Jacques for Kapanen and Bast?

Hooray. The long-term memory isn't totally shot.

Thanks, another trivia question:

Who did we get for Jim Vandermeer? Sorry, my brother and I went to dinner and had a few of these "who did we get for" questions.

I kinda wish we had that one back now. The playoffs were great but seeing Therien on ice, and knowing it could have been stopped by having Jim.... just leaves me with some buyers remorse.

Didn't you guys get a 2nd and 7th for Therien at the deadline anyways?

Clarke is a master at keeping lots of draft picks. The guy makes tons of trades, but he always seems to have lots of picks/assets.

No. Guillaume Lefebvre was traded to the Penguins in 02-03 and played 12 games for them - I don't know who he was traded for or where he is now...

For some reason I though Justin Williams was in the trade that brought Sami.

Or was it for Markov?

Okay I have a question -- what did we get for Markov from Nashville? I wasn't paying attention for most of the offseason.

*edit* And yeah, it was Williams for Markov because we desperately needed a defenseman.

It was a 3rd Rnd pick for Markov.

www.tsn.ca's player pages have the complete NHL transactions for that player.

02-Aug-05: Philadelphia Flyers traded Danny Markov to the Nashville Predators for a 3th round selection in 2006.
20-Jan-04: Philadelphia Flyers traded Justin Williams to the Carolina Hurricanes for Danny Markov.
21-Jun-03: Caroline Hurricanes traded David Tanabe and Igor Knyazev to the Phoenix Coyotes for Daniil Markov and a conditional 4th round selection in 2004.
12-Jun-01: Phoenix Coyotes traded Robert Reichel, Travis Green and Craig Mills to the Toronto Maple for Danny Markov.
08-Jul-95: Drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 9th round (223rd overall) in 1995.
