Talk Dirty to Me - Poison

Guy, ask them to stop leaving the horn on for so long after every goal.

It's extremely obnoxious

Game 1: "Ready to Roll" by Flashlight Brown.
Game 2: Something by Danko Jones.

He says it's hard to come up with a good intro song that isn't over used. And they were hoping to not use old metal songs so much.

Give me a big list and I'll pass our HF Board choices. Who knows? Maybe YOUR song will get picked!

Guy Flaming
I suggest:

Sabotage - definately
Seek and Destroy(Metallica) - Would be cool for a warm up song-GREAT INTRO
Human Cannonball(Webb Wilder) - gets my blood pumping

What happened to the good old rock songs...

We have had Welcome to the Jungle, Kickstart my Heart, and Fuel. Those we the good old days and we used to make it past the first round in those years.

Good hockey songs;
Ram Jam - Black Betty,
Offspring - Self Esteem,
Sloan - Money City Maniacs,
Headstones - Tweeter and the Monkey Man,
Buck Cherry - Lit Up,
Godsmack - Bad Religion,
Sweet - Ballroom Blitz,
Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train,
Steel Dragon - Stand Up

I could go on all day long but i think they should pick a mid 90's heavy tune or else go way back and bring back a classic rock song from the 70's or 80's!

Do you guys know/like those tunes...any of them that you would be in favor of?

John Williams - Summon the Heroes (#1 choice)
Bif Naked - Leader
The Who - Who Are You
Bif Naked - Rich & Filthy
Spinal Tap - The Majesty of Rock
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way (they did a great video presentation last year for the Bulldogs using this one -- footage of classic games/players for the slow parts, clips of the current team for the faster parts)

ministry - Jesus Built My Hotrod or Bad Blood (they play ministry in Calgary!)

pailhead - I Will Refuse

the melvins - June Bug (this song would really get people pumped up)

barkmarket - I Don't Like You

i doubt any of these would get serious consideration but they get me ripping when i play NHL2K4.

edit: and i'll put in my vote with everyone else for Sabotage...

Two songs that I would strongly suggest -

Pantera - Cowboys from Hell

Surprisingly good lyrics and a cool intro.

White Zombie - More Human than Human

Possibly the most kick-ass intro song ever, although the intro might need some editing.

Does anyone remember when the Oilers used "Run Like Hell" by Pink Floyd as their intro music? That was about 6, 7 years ago if i remember correctly... and that was the best intro the Oilers have ever had. Goes to show that you don't need Andrew WK or Pantera to get the crowd pumped up.

As much as I like Metallica and Motorhead, he DID say they were trying to stay away from old metal, and if those two don't qualify I don't know who does.

Perhaps St. Anger if you wanna go with one of those two bands?

That sounds good, but I think the Megadeth version is almost better than the Sabbath one. (Stays away from the old metal too.)

How about something by Crystal Method?

Yep, I remember. Andrew WK blows but I'd love to hear some Pantera. But ya, Run Like Hell tops my list.

I vote for "Be Aggressive" by Faith No More. Bonus: the chorus features vocals by a cheerleading squad!

How about "The World Loves Us and is Our *****" by Mclusky?

Catchy, works people up, not too overplayed on the radio, and a great title.

I definately think that a Linkin Park song would get the croud going.(Faint, One Step Closer, Points of Authority)

But my suggestion would be Good Times by Finger Eleven. These guys rock, and they are CANADIAN!

What do the players listen to? I think that a poll of them would be cool to see. As for my recommendations, I'm not sure. If I hear something I like and can get the name of it, I'll let you know.
