I attended the Avs/Yotes game last night and with all of the talk about Blake recently, I watched him closely. They guy has definitely lost a step of two. Please DT & TL, do not, I repeat, do not, bring this guy back.
New Phoenix arena: Save your $$ and don't go. Should LA meet Phoenix in the playoffs, there's no way I'd go back to the place. It would be more comfortable watching on TV at home. The building has a small footprint which has resulted in a really steep vertical interior. They crammed as many seats as possible into the place, so unless you are 4'8", 98 lbs, it's not too comfortable. And before comments start, I'm 5'8", 125 lbs., not exactly oversize. The upper section seats are, hang on here, $50. The lower bowl seats are the same size and cost even more. Insane. We were also somewhat shocked to see that they tried to build the place as bare bones as possible. The site will eventually house the Cardinals stadium as well as retail and offices. According to the renderings, the site should be really nice, so why the hockey arena was built as it is, is something that defies comprehension
And yes Kings fans, there's something in this world almost as annoying as those duck calls at the Puddle. Picture an arena full of adults and children HOWLING throughout the game. Still makes me shudder.
