it been discussed that NYI/EDM trades has worn out by now just stop pretty pleeeeeeaaaasssseeeeee
Yup. It is getting real old.
I wonder how posters got the impression that the Isles would want another center anyway?
mowzie, the fourthperiod.com report was based on Bruce Garroich's nonsense. He recently re-reported rumors that we heard this summer. At that time, it was rumored that the Isles had Parrish and Wiemer on the table to reduce salary. That turned out to be untrue. Doesn't look like the Isles are going to move either guy.
However, if they were looking to move those guys, it would be for $ reasons. So, dealing away Parrish and adding 5 million of salary from Smith and Comrie would make little sense. In addition, Scatchard is not a player the Isles ever showed any real interest in moving.
This is a recording: The Islanders are highly unlikely to be making any moves.
Why should they?
They do not need any more upheaval. Stability is needed. Wang has demonstrated patience; Milbury, surprisingly, has too.
Yes, this is a trade board, but a little thought (as far as the real needs of potential trading partners) goes a long way when considering deals.
If the Isles had to shed any more salary it would have been done over the summer. This crew is here for the long haul, and if they are competitive over the next several months, it is likely that Milbury will look to upgrade later on in the season.
