Should be a good one. Oilers finally scored some goals vs. th Sabres the other night and the Avs are putting them in by 5's. Should be a typical Oiler/Avs hockey game.

Prediction: Avs 5 Oilers 2

Sauve will make his NHL debut tonight for the Avs! Hopefully he won't be too nervous to stop pucks

I won't make a prediction since I jinx them everytime, but expect a VERY fast paced game!

Well the Oilers haven't had a very good record against backup goalies the last few seasons.

I'll say 3-3...with there being a lot more good chances than the final score indicates.

I can see the Oilers really trying to pressure early at home against Sauve in his first game and perhaps grabbing an early lead, with Sauve and the Avs offense gaining more ground as the game goes on.

Who's in net for the Oil...Salo or Conklin?

I like the Avs here...to many weapons for the Oil to handle.

Avs 5 Oilers 3

Colorado crashes the Oilers 8-0

Cross, Bergeron, Staios, Smith, Ferguson, Brewer

against

Kariya, Hejduk, Sakic, Forsberg, Tangay, Sellane

Enough said.

Suave gets the SO because the Oilers have a habit of making rookie goalies look like stars.

Sauve didn't help himself by misplaying the puck behind the net that eventually lead to the York goal. Good play by Edmonton, they have played a strong game early. I've missed parts of this period, but it sounds as if its been penalty filled.

I saw the whole period. Martin Skoula is in the Colorado lineup. A few of the penalties weren't even penalties. I think Forsberg embellished the Chimera roughing call a bit.

Steve Staios scores on the powerplay less than a minute into the second, 2-1 Edmonton.

Man, I keep missing all the goals. Too much stuff on tonight

Edmonton is playing a strong game tonight. The Avs top guns haven't had much time or space.

Avs get a PP opportunity, Torres in the box for interference.

Blake's first of the season from Forsberg off the faceoff. Forsberg has five assists this season already.
