Kings couldn't play worse.... Worst game of the season by far...

They have some guys who need to be in Manchester... The injuries are starting show the their wear...

Too many kids in the lineup.

This is embarrasing... 4-3 BOS

and there's nothing DT can do to change this... The Bruins have absolutely SHUTDOWN the Kings COMPLETELY....

the kings play in the last two periods was a disgrace. there is no other way to describe it. talk about just pissing a game away.

zizka needs to be sent down immediately. he was awful.

LA needs some blueline support badly. Right now it's as if they are hoping that Palffy, Cechmanek, and Robataille can carry them to wins on their own.

No, he needs to be traded. for a pick... he's useless.

DT needs to trade for some physical stability... Boston was hungrier and once they stayed out of the box, DOMINATED the game.

The Kings were soft and timid... They should be embarrased really. Especially the Veteran players... No one played well except Roman...

Kudos to BOS for regaining their compsure... and being well-prepared...

We said it last year, we'll say it this year again, there are some guys on this Kings team that don't belong.

5 games played and two of them were pissed away completely....

right on, facewash.

seriously, the kings were slapped around like a bunch of nerdy 6th graders. the bruins out-muscled them time and time again.

the entire kings team looked great in the first period, but NOBODY showed up for the last two, and it got worse as time went by. gleason was okay. that's about all i can say.

The Kings could easily be 5-0, yet instead sit at 3-2 because of 3rd period meltdowns.

The list of the dont belongs is Zizka, Pirnes, Holland and Sim. If the 4 guys on IR ever get healthy, these will be the guys in Manchester. Guaranteed if Miller and Norstrom were in there this wouldn't have happened tonight.

But kudos to the Bruins, much like the Kings a couple nights ago, they never quit.

Thornton was a monster tonight for boston.

It sucks when your most reliable defensive D-man is named jaroslav modry.

Disappointing outcome for the Kings. They lost their edge after the first period. Bruins had a lot to do with it... Congrats to the B's... they played great after the first.

I'm happy for Felix... I always liked him and am glad he got to stay in the game and play it out. He deserved better than what he got in the first period because his defense completely abandoned him. Great job, Felix!

Zizka!

the B's had their forechecking going hard... good hard lesson for the boys... flinn nor Brennan would've made any difference... it would've just meant 40 minutes without a shot on goal... the B's punished Dallas the same way.

Oh gee. I'm so sorry. Did the Mighty Kings lose? Well, I'm so distraught.

Good thing about the Kings: Cechmanek is an improvement over Potvin.

Bad thing about the Kings: Cechmanek is an improvement over Potvin.

I think this loss tonight was the end of bizarro world and the Ducks are going to snap out of it tomorrow.

This is the real Kings team you saw on the ice tonight.. 9 power plays through two periods and they still lost 4-3. This is the real Kings team, not the one that beat Ottawa.

So if Fedorov, Sykora, Carney, and Ozolinch all go down with injuries, will we also be seeing the "real Ducks" team?

I think there's more to the Kings injuries than "bad luck." Maybe the training and/or strength and conditioning program. Maybe the medical staff. It has gone on too long to simply be "bad luck".

Well, Carney already has gone down but you make a valid point regardless.

What I meant was that this is the real Kings team that Kings fans can get used to seeing without Deadmarsh and Allison. Miller is always hurt anyway.

Oh yeah ! Post-whiplash/concussion symptons, broken wrist, forearm laceration etc. This isn't bad luck...

My congratulations Enoch with this amazing prediction.

But one marginal comment. The problem wasn't who's going to stop Joe's line but who's going to stop Joe himself. Joe is the 1st line.

I suppose I agree with the logic that Vis and other "mighty" duck fans are using when they say that we are now seeing the real Kings team. In the same way that we are now seeing the real "mighty" ducks team and that abomination that happened last year has also gone away.

I mean, the "mighty" ducks went from worst to first and are worst again. They were worst for several years and then had an exceptional year last season and are back to their old ways at the start of this one. The real Kings are a team that, when healthy, will be a very competitive team as evidenced by the way they have played "when healthy" over the past several seasons and when they aren't healthy are only capable of streaky hockey. Of course, it is due to streaky hockey that the "mighty" ducks made it to game 7 of the finals but that's another story.

Of course, all of this petty quibbling will have an ultimate answer in about 78 games or so. That is the beauty of sports, there is an end to the season and in that end we all get to see who was right and who was just being a homer.

Okay, if someone can find stats on number of man games lost to injury from the beginning of last season through October 18th 2003 for every NHL team. I will calculate the mean per team, as well as the standard deviation. We will find where the Kings lie in terms of standard deviations from the mean. That way we can quantify how "odd" the Kings "bad luck" really is.
