Therien 5th all time

Therien tied Bob "Hound dog" Kelly and Rick MacLeish for 5th all time games played as a Flyer today at 741. Food for thought people. For someone we all say is real bad he has been a Flyer for a REAL long time. Give the plyon his due.

It's not like he's a complete waste of space. . . You just seem to notice him more when he's screwing up.

Agree with MjD.
He's one of those D-men that aren't supposed to be seen. A quiet warrior who's visible only when he makes mistakes.

Hey I never said he was good. Just that the only time he's noticed is when he screws up. If we could only notice a few 'good' plays. But, then again, I don't think the words Therien and good fit in the same sentence.

I have to agree with you on that one, though.

at one time he was a very good dman. people never liked him because he is big and wasn't a dominating physical player like they wanted. His skills have eroded but he has had a pretty good career and was a contributor at 1 time.

He will most likely play here until he dies, then they can bronze him, strap on some skates, and still dress him.

it might take a shove from our goaltender for the line change, but all in all, i think we'll all see improved play once he is bronzed.
