Who Would Represent You?

Say you're a hockey player, coming off of your entry level contract, after putting up seasons of 35 points (10-25-35) 44 point seasons (22-22-44) and a 47 point season (21-26-47).

What kind of money would you gun for, but more importantly, which agent would you choose to represent you, and why?

Excellent question.

Offensive spark-plug forward, still learning the intricacies of defense.

I think I would take Pat Brisson, it would be easier for me to communicate with him, because I am a French-Canadian, and also because he's doing a great job. I don't know what kind of money I should expect, though.

I'd take Mr. Walsh and come up with this argument:

"Hey I got 47 points, which is just ten less than Alex Rodriguez's 57 homers... I deserve to be paid 82% of his salary."

I'd also take Pat Brisson for the same reasons and ask for a multi-year contract between 1 and 2 millions. I wouldn't mind it to be two-way.

Agents are for weaklings. I would represent myself. The money I would ask for would most probably also depend on the salary structure of the team I play for.

I'd represent myself and get a contract lawyer to look over the proposals. I don't know what I'd go for though.

I'd just cry and moan like a little baby, not budging until I got what I wanted.

In other words, Walsh.
