Big game tonight for the Preds regardless of whether or not Walker returns to the lineup (see today's Tennessean article). Preds playing in back to back games, but should come into St. Louis with a lot of pent up frustration after being shutout last night in Colorado.

Following the trend of the Predators this season in back-to-back games, I would assume that Chris Mason will start tonight to give Tomas Vokoun a rest prior to Friday's key matchup vs. Detroit. Vokoun has not demonstrated the same consistency in his game since his return from the sprained knee. Mason had a shaky game last week vs. Vancouver, but has proved in the past that he can handle himself very well when starting...so I have faith.

Taking a quick look at the standings this morning...the Stars and Oilers both have reached the 50 point mark which puts them only one point behind us for 4th in the West and home-ice in the first round of the playoffs. While Edmonton has played 41 games to achieve this mark...the Stars are even with us at 38 games played.

Should Walker return to the lineup tonight I would expect Trotz to take Upshall out of the lineup and shuffle Erat to the top line with Kariya. Something like:
Kariya - Fiddler - Erat
Sullivan - Perreault - Walker
Hartnell - Johnson - Hall
Hordichuk - Smithson - Tootoo

Anyhow, we simply need to get the shots to the net tonight and generate traffic in front of the goaltender. Aebischer had far too easy of a time seeing the shots last night and we simply can't give that same courtesy to Sanford if we want to pickup the two points.

Not hitting the panic button at all, but this is a big game for the team tonight and they know it as do the Blues. If the Predators want to win the Central...they need to win in the Central. Let's see what will happen.

Oh yeah, BTW...NO TV tonight at all for this game. (gotta love the TV schedule - what? It's going up against the BIG college football game so FSN South can't broadcast the game? I just don't get that.

I'm pretty peeved about this right now. Thought at least I could get the St. Louis broadcast on Center Ice, but no...not even in St. Louis is this game being broadcast! What is up with that? Now I know how the Anaheim fans felt Sunday night.

And the NHL wonders why its fan base erodes away in markets. Go figure. It's the worthless TV contracts with "Possum" Sports Net.

Too much negative mojo on GDT for my taste. This team still is better than the Blues and all slumps end at some point so why not now. If Sully hits the breakaway or Erat hits the net yesterday instead of the post, we might all be talking about starting a new winning streak.

I thought the game last night was hard to watch primarily because the PP stunk. TV was better, the D was better, the forechecking (given what we have to work with) was somewhat better, discipline was better, and the shot-to-pass ratio was better. I'm not willing to say we are better than the Avs at this point but we are better than the Blues and should be playing desperate hockey. Preds 5-2.

I agree with BrainDead...we had our chances against the Avs last night and didn't capitalize. That was an improvement over the past couple games where we weren't even getting those chances. I like our mentality heading into tonight's game...an angry team on the prowl...GO PREDS!

Why isn't this game on CI?

I hope the boys come out fired tonight and if Walker is playing hopefully he can help them break out of this funk.

It's like the Ottawa game last season. No tv is picking it up period for whatever reason. It must be BDSP's episode of tagteam underwater basket weaving on FSN South tonight.

Because Center Ice only picks up local feeds of games. Unfortuantely, neither team is broadcasting the game.

Fox Sports South is broadcasting the UT Men's basketball game and Fox Sports Midwest is broadcasting Mizzouri Women's basketball. Isn't it great! Can't wait to watch basketball!

I'll be watching one of the other NHL games with the sound muted and listen to Pete and Terry on 104.5 FM.

Also Sunday night's game vs. Anaheim wasn't broadcast at all. Fortunately for us...we had the opportunity to go to the game. Now we know what it felt like in Anaheim.

NMK...sounds like you should scratch yourself from listening to the game tonite.....from the sounds of your posts over the past 2-3 days, it might do your soul some good.....if that fails, desperate measures are in order.......try getting laid.....it might take the edge off a loss to the Blues as well as the Wings.....

No way we win tonight. Mason is in net.

Sorry, but he has done nothing to impress me.

SCRATCH!!!! Make it tied 1-1. That may be the fastest tie goal in franchise history???

Jesus Christ. 2-1 St. Louis Blowhards
