Begin

I have yet to see him play. Can anyone give me an idea of what type of player he is. Has some interesting statistics (PM's?!), but seems like he might have some scoring touch.

Thanks.

Energy player.
Some nights he hits everyone he sees.
He creates some chances but have not that magical touch. He did make a lot of points for him this season but is not an offensive player that will rack up a ton of points.

He's the perfect fourth line player. He brings energy to the team, can kill penalties and can chip in offensively.

A quick gritty energy player with huge baiis. He is a free agent this year I believe. I wonder if the Habs will lose him as well?

He can be a huge asset on the fourth or PK, and can fill in on any line in a pinch. Some nights he just doesn't play to his only strength, which is covering a lot of ice and forcing turnovers.

He doesn't always have an impact. I have to wonder sometimes if he's playing with pain, or if he just can't give it 100% every game because of the toll it takes.

I seriously doubt the habs will lose Begin... From what I understand, Begin WAS extremely nervous about playing in Montreal, due to the pressure... But as many have said before, when the team is winning, (or in this case, if you are simply the crowd's favourite) it's the best place in the world to play hockey.

Begin IMO has a solid 2-3 years (at least) of being a Montreal Canadien yet... All reports have said he's happy to be here, and he did break the ice of his NHL career at home as well.. I can't see him being as successful anywhere else in the NHL, and I am sure Steve knows this.
