**OFFICIAL** GDT 1/7 - Kings @ Sharks

Game Time: 7:30 PM PST | 10:30 PM EST
Location: HP Pavilion | San Jose, CA
TV Broadcast: Fox Sports Net
Radio Broadcast: 710 AM
Online broadcast: NHL Radio

  • Luc Robitaille is one goal shy of tying Marcel Dionne's scoring record of 550 goals as a King.
  • Click Here for the radio schedule of the LA Kings.

Quotable:

"My responsibility I think is to keep things fairly consistent and just demand the best from them every night, because by getting the best from them, I know it's the best for them as individuals, as well." - Andy Murray

"He's the captain of the Kings for a reason. At every crucial point in a game, he's the guy I want on the ice." - Andy Murray on Mattias Norstrom

"He was a presence in our own zone and gave me the freedom and encouragement to take chances in other areas up the ice. I wouldn't have won the Norris Trophy (as the NHL's best defenseman in 1998) if I was playing defense with anyone else." - Rob Blake on Mattias Norstrom

Injury Update:
  • Dustin Brown remains day-to-day with a bruised chest.
  • Both Jeff Cowan and George Parros participated in a full practice on Thursday. They may return Monday against Anaheim.
  • Eric Belanger may return on the ice on January 12th in Boston.

I have a feeling Demitra and Frolov will put some points up tonight. Looking forward to the matchup, GO KINGS !

Also, I'm glad to see that Geroge Parros, and Jeff Cowan are getting better, same with Eric Belanger.

For the Kings to win they will need to contain Cheechoo around the net and play Thornton tough....

But with 2 losses to us in their last 2 games, I have a feeling the Sharks are going to play especially strong tonight. Here's hoping I'm wrong

I have to agree with Beauty. Cheechoo has been nothing short of amazing lately. Thornton, well, words not required.

Lets hope Frolov finally steps up and ya Demitra hasn't scored for a while if they both have their games on i'll bet on them before Cheechoo Thornton

Demitra isn't playing tonight. He got hurt in the leg at the end of the Coyotes game. He's day-to-day.

With Demitra out, Sean Avery will get a crack on the top line with Conroy and Fro...

Here's to Avery playing well with those two and Fro finally getting back on the scoresheet and of course a Kings victory!!!

Connor James rules. Watched the guy at DU for years, he's pretty fun to watch.

The kids are playing well but they have to calm down abit. Thats the third time the over-agressiveness has cost as an odd man advantage.

Horrible play by Kanko. Garon made 2 ridicolous saves, where was our D for the 3rd one ?

Dang....

Kanko isn't able to clear the zone and then the Sharks score on what I believe was the fourth rebound...
