Wild prospects respectable at WJC

Just looking at the final numbers:

Pouliot 0g 5a for 5 pts. Team leader had 7 points.

Voloshenko had 3g 0a, 3 pts. Not Malikn like numbers, but only 1 less goal.

Khudobin gaa of 2.20, sv % of .932. Solid.

Sprunger 2g 3a for 5 points, 2nd on team.

Not great numbers, but nothing to scare one off these prospects.

Did I miss anyone?

To me, Khudobin's numbers are inflated by the team in front of him. He's a streaky goaltender it looks like. Give him a solid team up front and he'll do fine.

Sprunger on the other hand, I think will be a solid player.

Then why did you say his stock went down in the thread on the 04 draft in the prospects board. I found that puzzling.

Easy, I don't think Sprunger would be picked as high because of his bad season in the Swiss League last year and his subpar play in the WJC. Now since he has played in the WJC again and his play has gone up, I think he'll be picked maybe a little lower, depending on players shifting around...Maybe stay the same. I was basing this only on his play last year and his play this year along with his WJC from last year.

khudobin wasn't very good. i think he'd be lucky to see many games in the ahl in the future, looks like a european league goalie or many years in the echl.

pouliot is good though
