You are joking I hope.
actually, before being injured Antropov was solid... one of our best PKer's

he was throwing his body around... and truly living up to the PF label.

He is pretty much a bust, you have to admit. He wasn't drafted to be a Pker.

Also, he has bad knees, and with his size, and the fact he is so injury prone, CP would be stupid to deal Malone for him.

However, CP did have a hard** for him in the '98 draft. They lucked out and got Kraft. /sarcasm

Klee is berated by Leaf fans, and for good reason, he is barely average, if that.

Go over on their board and ask what they think of Ken Klee.

If he was acquired, you and every other Pens fan would be on his case within a month.

He isn't any better than what they have now...grass isn't so green on the other side of the fence.

Does anyone think that the three way deal with the leafs and devils will actually happen?

To Toronto: Ryan Malone

To Pittsburgh: Jay Pandolfo

To New Jersey: Antropov, 4th round pick in 2007 (Toronto)

Penguin fans make fun of Melichar a lot too - that doesn't mean he stinks.

they're both good hockey players and both are needed, by many teams in the league.

Melichar is a stop-gap until the Pens find someone better. He isn't the same player he was before he hurt his shoulder.

Klee is very average, and as I said, I see him 60-70 times a year when I have to watch the Leafs with my g/f.

The Pens could lose Melichar and you wouldn't notice the difference.

The Leafs could lose Klee and you wouldn't notice the difference.

You don't give up a promising young player like Malone for Klee.

I feel your pain...no one should have to watch 60-70 Leaf's games a year.

One might suggest you follow that advice
Most Leafs fans tend to like Klee, he's slowly declining and his footspeed leaves much to be desired at this point but he's still an adequate enough #4-5 guy. Besides, outside of Kaberle he's our best defensive D-Man so while I doubt he'll be resigned I can't see him being dealt unless someone were going to overpay which seems extremely unlikely.

If any team was going to over pay, it might be the one carrying a $25-million dog who played his best hockey partnered with Klee.

I feel sorry for the team that has that problem....

...oh wait.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of Klee. Basically what I said about him, wouldn't you agree?

I have been in Leafs country plenty of times and Klee isn't well liked by the Leaf fans I have met.

They remind me of Steeler fans...loyal..insane..a little delusional (I am a big Steeler fan).

When the Leafs beat the Pens the other night and she was teasing me about it, I started walked around the house chanting 1967...which didn't go over too well with my her lmao

My favorite Leaf vs Pen war stories, fortunately, don't involve my wife. My first war story is the 98-99 season, when the Leafs picked up Valk from the Pens. I made fun of that pick up at EVERY opportunity with all my Leaf-fan-friends. Of course Valk goes on to knock the Pens out of the playoffs with an OT goal. D'oh!!

My other war story is the day that the Berehowsky-Jackman trade went down. I was at lunch with co-workers, including rabid Leaf fans. I was getting absolutely ribbed for how much Berehowsky sucked (keep in mind at this point of the lunch, Berehowsky was still a Pen). Sportnet is on the TV at the restaraunt and breaks in with a "Leafs acquire Berehowsky" bulletin. I laughed...and laughed...and laughed...

Anyhow...that's enough for now.

Uhhhh....Malone to Toronto for Valk.

If the pens lost Melichar the defense would totally collapse.

Collapse?

It's hard for something on the ground floor to collapse.

Much like the offense would collapse if they lost Endicott
