Basically, the Wings will sweep Columbus and Chicago this season and will go 7-1 against St.Louis. As for Nashville, I think the Preds will win a few thanks to Vokoun and Sullivan, but the Wings will win that series 6-2. All in all, the Wings will have a 29-3 record against divisional opponents this season. If only that was possible.....
I also did not see anything about the Red Wings sweeping the Preds.

Maybe I read too much into it but it sounded as if Espn is predicting the Wings to sweep the central. What if the Preds a Wings split the season series 4 to 4 and sweep the rest of the central finished with the same amount of wins and points.
I think Redwingfan33 had a cowboy hat on at the game friday. Anyway, ESPN was not predicting a sweep...as noted by jan's skin disorder (still the all time best board name even after all of these years)
Absolutely no way the Wings sweep the Preds....In fact I think the Preds take this series 5 - 3....Vakoon alone is enough of an edge between the two teams to push this series in Nashville's favor...and I'll be rooting for them every step of the way.
Didn't ESPN virtually write off the NHL before the lockout? Now the league is back and better than before with intrest growing in the sport. LOL!! ESPN is hardly a credible source of hockey news for both Canada and the United States. I take their so called "hockey articles" and "sports writings" with a very, very small grain of salt. They just need to stick with talking about the World Series of Poker and Duke basketball and they will be fine. Screw them.
