I've only seen Liljegren play in 1 tourney so i cant say much about him, Minulin is my favorite dman going into the 2017 season.
Where do you think Minulin would've gone if he was eligible for the 2016 draft? He only missed the age cutoff by 2 weeks. 1st round? Top 15? I almost never watch the WHL so I have no clue.

hard to say, maybe top 20, top 25 at the latest. excluding Provorov and Sanheim, i thought he was the best all around dman from the WHL last season, hes rock solid defensively.

him and Valimaki are gonna have an interesting battle this season, sadly for Minulin Swift Current is gonna suck next season again.

Minulin is a really good player but I don't think it's just Valimaki he'll be battling with. Foote is by far the best D prospect Kelowna has had for several years.

Should be an interesting year for WHL d men. Cale Fleury is another to keep eyes out for...though Kootenay was one of the worst teams in the CHL last year and likely won't be much better this season. Could see one of Fleury/Minulin getting traded to a contender, as well.

yes theres also Foote, Smart and Fleury. i really like Smart, haven't seen much of Fleury so i cant comment on him.

i have Valimaki and Minulin in their own tier. Smart and Foote are behind them but i personally like Smart more, i think he'll have a big year next season.

For whatever it's worth the one time I saw Josh Brook play he looked like a star. He was injured most of last year so I think he's a real underdog in the WHL.

Comtois would be nice to add on LW but I am pretty sure we won't be able to pick him up.
We are going to pick 23rd to 30th (second round) or even 27th to 30th (ECF).

I think Habs are going to be back very strong this season.

Up to the 2nd round, playoff winning doesn't impact draft position (only regular season standing). But yes, if we go to the ECF we would pick 27-28 and 29-30 for SC final.

The final Hlinka roster is out. No Vilardi is definitely a bit of a surprise.

Yes I like Vilardi a very good RHC from Windsor(Sergachev's team), also would love to get Callan Foote(Not very likely) but Artyom Minulin(RHD) could be a very good partner for Sergachev and available where the Habs could move up to get him. Gabriel Vilardi missing the Hlinka, might mean he could be available when the Habs pick in the 1st round. As usual I'm hoping Bergevin trades for another late 1st round pick, always great to have that type of asset with our own 1st & two 2nd's to move up for one of these prospects. Russian defencemen are becoming great playing the aggressive NA game the last few years, having Top Ten Dmen picked by NHL teams, it seems the "Russian Factor" has ended with the fall of the ruble worldwide.

A fact that has helped our Habs this season in signing Alex Radulov, hopefully Vadim Shipachev signs with our Habs, that could very well be the icing on the cake, so to speak for our Habs becoming the NHL Champs once again & for the 1st time this millennium. Go Habs Go!!!...

The Habs could get fortunate to acquire extra 1st round picks and move up for Klim Kostin (C/LW) that was the 1st selection in the 2016 CHL Import Draft. He's decided to stay in Russia and break into the KHL instead of playing for Kootenay. The 6'3 PWF could very well be a great replacement in our Top Six in 2-3 yrs., as a Center or LW, the Habs would certainly be a better team with this player, even if they have to wait 3-4 yrs. before he comes over.

Big fan of Comtois. Could be another top 5 pick for the Q. Plays a complete game with a high level of skills.

Plenty of players from the Q could rise in the top 2 rounds with good seasons: Milot-Ouellet had a good season for Gatineau, Durandeau is quite talented as well, Tesdeale shows up to work every game, and really hoping Baribeau can step it up next year. Could be an excellent goalie. Loved him in AAA hockey.

Doesn't matter. Gotta know about everyone available
Any good big centres around 20th. ? 😀

Michael Rasmussen is an early favorite of mine. That being said, I doubt he'll be on the board for very long. Not overly big but Mattheos might be an option.

Adam Ruzicka has a lot of potential too in the late first big center category. I liked him a lot at the U-18, he's built like a freaking truck. Hopefully he comes over to the CHL so I can get a better idea of his potential.

Pair of goals for Comtois to start the Hlinka tournament (including OT GWG). Veleno player of the game against Slovakia.

Team Canada finishes the Hlinka in 5th place, which is disappointing to say the least, although the team only suffered one lost. Still, good tourney for Comtois, Rasmussen and Veleno .

It's always a fun, very informative read. If you're a draft junkie it's well worth the money.
