I chose rally around Dan Snyder as the main reason for our success but in truth, it has been a combination of all five choices on the poll as the reason for our success so far.

Every thrasher fan expected the team to be better this season but after the crash I think every fans opinion would have changed and replaced their predictions for the season with uncertainty. The unfortunate passing of Dan Snyder has provided extra motivation and incentive to exceed this season for the team but so to the efforts of Bob Hartley's influence on the team and Pasi Nurminen's steller play on the ice.

Actually I think it is unfair that Pasi should be just singled out because in reality it has been a total team effort. Pasi has been outstanding in goal; Dafoe has become a real leader in the locker room; fantastic efforts from all forward lines, especially lines 1 [Kovalchuk-Savard-Kozlov] & 4 [Cowan, Robiatille, Petrovicky]; and finally all defense pairings has been great as we have conceeded only 8 goals in 5 games.

I agree that it is a combination of factors, and in fact I would add one more to the list -- people stepping up because Heatley is out. This effect is seen on a lot of teams, your star player goes down, the team actually plays better because everyone knows that he's not there to get it done. Credit the coach when this happens for motivating players and getting them out on the ice at times that let them succeed. That's why I voted for the Hartley option.

All I want to know is why the thrashers are playing so bad? It's awful. And what about Kovalchuk? I thought he was supposed to be good? Only 5 goals and 7 points in one game? And only ONE hat trick? man, Ilya and the thrashers are a joke.
