Wings@Hurricanes 1/10, 7PM, OLN

After Sunday's debacle, you can bet that Manny will be in the pipes tonight...and that means that hopefully we'll be a little more supportive than we were to Ozzie. I'm hoping that we can right things tonight and get it together. Also it looks like we will have Johan back tonight, so that will be good.

GO RED WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For whatever reason, I am sensing a very good game from the Wings tonight.

6-1 pasting of the Canes.

Zetterberg(2), Cleary, Yzerman, Lidstrom and Shanny.

And what the heck...Ray Whitney for the Canes.

I think the guys are going to come out with a better effort tonight- if only to make up for the game against Dallas. With Legace in goal, it adds a bit of a moral boost, and....the West is better than the East.

5-2 Wings.

Shanny, Lidstrom, Schneider, Sammy, and Z-berg.

Damn, that was so close. The Wings played a great game for about 50 minutes, it's unfortunate they were so sloppy during the first 10.

Yet again the team comes out flat and has to play from behind the entire game. Hopefully the boys will learn the schedule isn't getting any easier the rest of the month and give as much effort as they had in the 3rd tonight for the next game. Yeah I know, the loss was Ozzy's fault even though he wasn't in goal tonight.

The goal by Stevie was a beauty though, classic Yzerman, but like you said, just too bad the team was indifferent beforehand.

The game against Philly should be interesting - I wonder which Wings team will show up.

Hopefully the one that we've seen at the beginning of the season. We need every both points in every game possible during this stretch here, especially as tight as the standing are...now Dallas is more of a threat to take over the west than Nashville as far as points go. Just hopefully the boys can come out scoring from the start and not decide to sleep the other 2 periods.

Well we did lose BUT:

1) Carolina home ice (16-4-1) CHECK
2) Carolina scores first (95% wins) CHECK
3) Carolina leads after two (100% wins) CHECK

Really thought the Wings were going to tie it up that last minute and a half. So many good chances to only be denied

Captain Fantastic had an amazing night, sweet goal, and made some really good plays to boot. He does look slow, but he's still got game.

So annoyed. I didn't get to see my two fav teams duke it out tonight due to it being on OLN, but I guess I should be happy that I getta watch most of the games though. Days like today really make me feel for those who only get to watch the national broadcasts. I really wish I coulda seen the Stevie Y goal. Here is hoping he can get to 700 before the season ends.

Tough loss against a very good Carolina team!

Gerber was amazing in goal for them, stopping 36 shots. I notice that we can't score goals when we pepper the other goalie with a lot of shots!

Sweet goal from Yzerman

We lost ?
Weel, then I blame Osgood, it was his fault and his alone.
What ? Manny was in goal ?
Who cares.. it's still Ozzie loss..
