I'm sure he put in a good word. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Kevin signs here, that Paul comes home on a 1 year deal.

He's with the Clippers. Under contract.

With the clips pretty much out of the running for durant due to signing rivers back, and supposedly the Warriors are going after jamal crawford and matching barnes contract he got from mavs they are out too. However warriors haven't made a move yet so they still in it. That leaves the spurs who have to gut their team to get him, Heat who got whiteside but possibly losing wade and bosh uncertain to play again. That leaves just the Celtics and OKC this could be really interesting. Warriors are very real too but like spurs they have to let some people go and make a trade.

I was never afraid of the Clippers. GSW would only make sense is if he somehow didn't care about his legacy and the Heat are in a very tough situation surrounding Bosh's uncertain future and Bosh's ufa status.

Durant should just go with what Brady likely told him. Winning in Boston is very different compared to anywhere else. OKC's got enough shots with him and Westbrook and it ain't working, time for a change. Why would he care about a few million when he's got a 300m shoe deal running?

And by the way: I am happy that we finally got this non desirable fa-destination monkey off of our back.

Oh, and Durant would actually be the most fitting fee agent star signing with Boston. Danny loved him from day 1 and went on record saying he would have picked KD first. And KD comes across as a very level headed and humble superstar, someone who would emphasize what we have in Boston and not thinking about the high life destinations in New York or Miami.

If someone puts a gun to my head, I'd say that KD gives OKC one more shot. He probably feels obligated...after all it's been 9 years. Tough decision to leave. But even if he indeed does (give OKC one more year), we could get another shot next year. Because I genuinely believe that we are one of the final two contenders for his services.

But he just cannot ignore the signs. Great and relatively young supporting cast, perfect "B"-star in Horford who is not adamant of stealing someones spotlight. Exceptional future outlook with some very promising draft picks who could also be dangled for immediate help if it comes to that.

KD, what are you waiting for? Brady told you to sign.

Horford signing was very validating.

Also the time where Ibaka would have been a huge add and Rasheed Wallace was a washed up bum even though they were coming off seasons where they basically had identical numbers. Very validating indeed.

I'm glad it was all proven totally irrelevant. There's a reason why at least 3 of the 5 best free agents had/have Boston on their short lists. We ain't delusional

24-36 hours as of last night

I honestly think it's down to Boston and OKC. I just don't see how the other spots could make it work without stripping the team too much. Plus Boston offers him the best chance of having his own legacy. Nobody will be criticizing you for winning a title with Horford and Thomas. Ain't exactly the big 3 of the Miami days . They are just so deep though

Yesterday's pitch was critical, even if he doesn't come over this year

Jamal Crawford would be nice to have as a shooter off the bench if IT can convince him to come.

Most NBA analysists are saying the best fit for him to win mutiple titles is Boston, especially with that Brooklyn pick to add another big name or receive another lottery pick.

That would have been a BIG part of my pitch to KD.

The Celtics' window of opportunity for a Championship is ENORMOUS, and it's just starting to open.

Just for the record. I know we're all excited. But first guy to get mad at KD for not coming here is an idiot.

If KD doesn't sign this year ? Would Danny try to sign Gasol or similar player to 1 year deal ?

Pat Riley is a cockroach.

Kevin is smarter than to listen to his crap. He knows this is the best fit for him. Or OKC. Hopefully he'll see the bigger picture and come here.
