Ovechkin pulls ahead by 3 points

Both Crosby and Ovechkin played tonight, and Ovechkin still has one game in hand on Crosby. Ovechkin scored his 26th goal and his 25th assist tonight, while Crosby was scoreless.

Scoresheet from the Caps v. Blackhawks game: http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreport...6/GS020632.HTM

The Capitals were beaten 4-3 in OT, and the Penguins lost 3-1.

What are you talking about? Ovechkin is not 3 points ahead! I could have sworn that it was Crosby who was 3 points behind...

I heard Ovechkin did it in 11 fewer strides and with only half a bottle of water for the entire game.

Seriously - what does this thread accomplish, besides nothing?

ADD - I propose we have one "All Crosby, All Ovechkin Talk" thread stuck to the top of this board, and anyone who wants to say anything about either player can put it there so there's not 19 threads about the two on the front page every night.

I'm with you, I've suggested it in the past. I think it would reduce the clutter and be a whole lot less annoying for everyone.

I bet it was in the Pens management/team goals to win the Calder this year.
They better bring in Malkin quick so he can beat Crosby + Ovechkin's point totals combined heftily enough to make the Calder certain.

I sure hope we don't have to start another thread if Crosby somehow manages to rack up 3 points playing against that NHL powerhouse, the Columbus Blue Jackets.

One somewhat noteworthy thing this game did is push Ovechkin into the top 10 in scoring.

Okay, now that might have been a better thread subject. Ovechkin into the top 10.

Ovechkin should win the calder. I mean this kid has NO ONE to play with and doesn't whine at all.

Svatos is still keeping up with Ovechkin in goals, and Svatos does play tomarrow agianst the Canadiens!

Ovechkin plays with no one yes, but so does Svatos, right now he is on a line with Brunette and Mclean, and plus he only plays 13 min a game not like Oveckin. I am not saying Svatos should win the calder right now but the race aint over!
