What a confusing bunch of names. Everyone has the same names on the Habs.

I heard Crépin gets messed up every Christmas office party and goes home with a new rookie every year.

True story

This rumor is five dancing bananas out of ten

Edit: to the original poster... are we reading too much into too many things...

* scouts in vancouver
* Gainey goes to Hamilton
* Gainey sits with legal advisor..

Hell what next.. Gainey goes on vacation in Florida and we start making up Luongo rumours..

Yeah, I heard Bertrand Raymond saying that too on the show "Au dessus de la melee" tonight. Maybe there's something going on in the trade department or maybe Gainey and Brisebois are only in Colorado to meet with Gillett for team business.

Julien BriseBois

Position: Director of Hockey Operations and Legal Affairs

Start Date: 01-09-2001

Julien BriseBois was named Canadiens’ Director of Hockey Operations in July 2003. He also acts as the team’s Director of Legal Affairs, a position he accepted when he joined the Canadiens organization on September 1, 2001. His duties include all aspects of contract preparation and negotiation, salary arbitration, player transactions, the interpretation of the NHL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement and League rules and assessing their impact on day-to-day operations. Prior to joining the Canadiens, BriseBois was employed by the law firm Heenan Blaikie, working in the field of Sports Law, where he represented several NHL and Major League Baseball clubs in arbitration cases, and acted as an advisor in contract negotiations. He also participated in the production of legal documents for the QMJHL and in motor sports. BriseBois is a graduate of the University of Montreal (Bachelor of Law), and is a member of the Québec Bar, the American Bar Association and the Sports Lawyers Association. He was born in Greenfield Park on January 24, 1977.

While I do think he's overrated, he's quite talented. I know this will come up sooner or later, so him being a very talented French player probably has something to do with it...

but yeah, I think the Zednik+Plekanec+Chipchura proposal someone posted in here is way overpaying.
