what is the impact of that on his season in the Q???

I mean, he is too young to play in the AHL and prolly wont get a shot at the NHL right now??

is it for the upcoming season??

I think Weber signed and still played another year in junior.

If Radulov did indeed sign he'd then be eligible to play in either the AHL or NHL because he wasn't drafted out of the CHL he was drafted out of Russia, and later joined the QMJHL.

He'd be better off playing in the AHL....the Q is not going to help his development to as much to the NHL and the AHL would, IMO.

Nice signing reguardless where he plays! I like the direction you guys are going.

I don't know the rule but I thought the Pred's indicated when he was cut at camp that he wasn't eligible for the AHL this year?

Because he wasn't signed.

I don't think they'll move him to the AHL this year, in an case. I think he will and probably should finish the year out in the Q. Likely, they've been working on the deal for a while, but without much of a rush. This just ensures that if he's ready to make the team next year...it'll go without a hitch.

Radulov will finish the season in the Q and then

can either be called up to Milwaukee or Nashville. Either way he will be in camp with a contract at the start of next season. A great move for the Preds. this kid is AWESOME.

Great news for Preds fans and for Alexander Radulov!

He is likely to stay in Quebec for the rest of the season, which is good news for the Remparts. Their Memorial Cup aspirations are much more realistic with a healthy and motivated A.R.!

A deep run into the QMJHL playoffs and a trip to the Memorial Cup in Moncton would be a great leadership development opportunity.

#'s of the deal

He gets a $295,260 bonus and $688,940 salary this year and next. In the third year the whole $984,200 comes as salary. He could also make more money in performance bonuses during the three years.

He might get the bonus this year, but that $688,940 salary would be for next year, assuming he makes the NHL.

He'll get the signing bonus, but not the salary. His contract won't start until next year. And he'll only get that kind of money (600K) if he makes the NHL. There's an AHL salary figure that they aren't reporting.

I think that just refers to the per diem\allowance that the players get for food and whatnot from their junior teams. signing bonuses from their NHL teams are something else altogether.

Alexander Radulov will finish the season with the Quebec Remparts. He won't make the Predators roster next season unless there are some big changes on wing. (Like trading Scott Walker.) He'll play next season in AHL Milwaukee. Nashville likes to season their prospects. But I can't wait to see him in a Preds jersey. IMO, he's the goal-scorer the team has been lacking.

Anyhoo...

The further we go into the season the less of a chance I think Erat is on this team next year.

If the Ramparts should fall early, raddy WILL be in Milwaukee with at least ONE call up to Nashville. IMO HE WILL make it on the NHL roster next year. Someone is going to be traded/ not signed and we'll pick up a first line center. Not sure who just yet. It could be Walker UNLESS he has a BIG last half! I expect ERAT has an excellent chance of remaing. He plays HARD all of the time and can score. He has a lot of up side. He could be traded with another player for that special center we need so badly. Stevenson and/or Totoo are the ones that ought to be worried. Instigators/fighters are a dime a dozen!
