Or,

He just wasn't very good in the first place. 65 points didn't sell me on him and now he's regressing ten-fold. Ribeiro is just a marginal NHL player who still needs to earn his spot because one good season's not going to tickle us real fans pink... that only seems to apply to fans of certain players (Theo, Dagenais, Ribeiro... cough cough).

I'm looking for something to agree with in Azalichio's post. Perhaps he's right in saying that other players besides Ribeiro have been disappointing. I had hoped for a lot more in the following players: Théodore, Zednik, Souray, Bonk, Komisarek. I had hoped for somewhat more in Kovalev, Perezhogin, Plekanec, Higgins, Dandenault. I had expected a slight improvement or at least staying at his previous level from Ribeiro. Instead, he has been a great disappointment. His offense for the past 2 months has been almost totally lacking. One goal in his last 30 games? Hardly any assists? No improvement in his +/- rating? Sitting out 2 games? No doubt about it, Ribeiro has been a flop, a bust, the most disappointing player on the team to his coach, his GM, his teammates, his fans, and the media. It's hard to find a single good word to say about him this season.

Azalichio, I'm not at all afraid that Ribeiro would become a big scorer on another team, although for his sake he would benefit from a change of scenery. I would guess that 90% of the fans on this forum are disgusted with him. If I exaggerate, it might be 80% instead, but no less.
