Armia vs Dano

These guys both look decent but haven't done much in the NHL yet - possible 3rd/2nd liners in the future but may not even make the 4th this year. Who will be better eventually?

Armia [BUF/WPG]: 44GP, 4G-6A-10P
Dano [CLB/CHI/WPG]: 69GP, 13G-18A-31P

Armia looks better on the ice but Dano is the more effective player.

Dano and its not close, IMO.

I like Armia but Dano is a proven 3rd liner already and has much more upside.

Thus far the pro-NHL and AHL results lean heavily towards Dano being the superior player.

I like having both though.

I would be keeping Dano hidden away on a crappy Moose team this year in the hopes that Las Vegas will ignore him.

Went with "pretty similar". I have no idea honestly. Both have similar chances to become a useful top 6 but also bottom 6 NHL players IMO.

Dano is already a solid nhl player according to HERO and underrated around here, Armia looks like he will become a good bottom six with some improvement.

I went with Dano. Even though Armia has some sick puck skills, I really like the way Dano attacks the puck carrier like some crazed bulldog in heat.

I know what Dano's game is. I know how he will get his goals. How he will earn his keep. I do not know this about Armia. Dano for me.

Went Dano, will be an okay 3rd liner. Armia seems to missing that edge in his game that you need to play in the NHL!

I picked Armia, but it wasn't an easy choice. I really should have picked the both option. I like both of them a lot and I want to keep both of them on the team. Armia has been very slow to develop, but I think he just hasn't been given the chances. I guess that could also apply to Dano. I'm really looking forward to seeing both of them take off - hopefully next season!

Armia looks flashier on the ice and IMO has more pure skill. Dano looks like a smarter player though. I think Dano gets the nod for now but I wouldn't be surprised at all if Armia suddenly clicks and becomes the better player.

Armia [BUF/WPG]: 44GP, 4G-6A-10P
Dano [CLB/CHI/WPG]: 69GP, 13G-18A-31P
Armia [BUF/WPG]: 44GP, 4G-6A-10P = .227 ppg 2011 draft
Dano [CLB/CHI/WPG]: 69GP, 13G-18A-31P = .449 ppg 2013 draft

That's not all that close. Armia has plenty of skill but seems to be missing something. Drive, confidence, assertiveness, truculence, IDK. If he doesn't 'get it' this season he will never rise above a 3rd-4th line tweener.

Dano is younger, and is already better.

Edit : I think Armia is more than his points, as we can all attest he had some really good games as a Jet where he didn't get a point, but Dano is a 21 year old producing like a 2nd/3rd tweener when you put him on his proper wing.

Have to agree with this post. If/when Armia finds the missing ingredient he has the potential to be very good.

But alas, we lose Dano at the end of next year.

We should play him LW all year.
