I'd love to see the Flyers end this roadtrip with only 1 regulation loss, but the toughest game is at the end. I guess tonight we'll see how good this team is. I just hope that they aren't looking past this game with the thoughts of being back home.

Red Wings win 3-2.

This will be a great match, I really hope that Philly can take the win from Red Wings. If Niittymäki is starting goalie, he has to play one of his best games this season, Detroit isn't an easy opponent.

My guess: Flyers 4, Red Wings 2.

Wingers haven't been looking that sharp of late... The loss against Dallas must have really screwed with their confidence...

Anything can happen in this one, Flyers have looked the strongest though...

First of all a big compliment tom Lion !
Great start for a GDT !

The game:
I don't think the Wings stand much of chance tonight.
You guys have a great road-record and we're not exactly on fire the last two games.

So be gentle..

6-1 Flyers.

i think this is a loss... we've been wearing down, understandably, over the last few games and i got a feeling Detroit is going to be up for this one. definitely need to get back into our building to get the batteries back up.

I hope I'm wrong but, I say: 4-1 Detroit. The Flyers worked their tails off last night, add that to the fact that they are finally wrapping up a road trip and you've got a tired squad.

But, from a positive side: The Flyers are finishing one of their best road trips ever, they're on a roll, and Frank has been playing outstanding. 3-2 Flyers.

Yeah, one of those two. . . Hopefully the latter.

Detroit is good, im not denying it and i would love to see the Flyers win tonight, especially since they havent won in detroit since 1988. Then again Detroit did give up a 3 goal lead and let 6 unanswered goals in by Dallas. It gonna be tough and close but the Flyers have the best chance to win.

5-4 final Forsberg 2 assists

Damn that's a nice GDT. Though the Wings' lines are going to be scrambled. Babcock is moving Lang back to center on the 2nd line since he's not as good on the wing as Zetterberg is (who is moving back to the left of Datsyuk). It'll likely be Datsyuk, Lang, Draper, and Franzen or Yzerman down the middle with the wingers shuffled about.

i think gagne/forsberg/knuble really need to show up for this one if the flyers want to win. Multiple points for this line and the flyers win, if not then i give the nod to detriot.

I think Flyers will lose. Detroit played well against Canes they are really hungry for a win, Wings had a day off yesterday and their PP is just scary. I believe Flyers are on their last legs and Niittymaki did look very sharp in his last two games. Odds are against us.

Unless Forsberg line will take over I do not see how we can win it. I hope we do tough. Devils like, tight game is the key.

Detroit's PP + our PK = loss

Also add in our defensive corps at the moment and I think we lose one tonight. If we win, it'll be because of Nitty.

Lion of the North: Game is on Comcast tonight, not UPN.

Should be a good game. I just want this drought in Detroit to end.

Also, former Flyer Mark Howe had a nice comment about our team in the Detroit News:

"I was talking to Mark Howe (Wings' NHL scout who lives in Philadelphia).the other day, and he said they're the best team in the league depth-wise," Babcock said. "They've done a good job despite a lot of injuries. They find a way. They're a big hockey club and we have to find way to play our game, and shut down the parts in the game they do real well."

2-12-2 in Detroit since 1988. If we are in the game after the !st it will be a surprise. Maybe 5-1 if we are lucky. Sorry to sound so negative but the wings own us.

the flyers almost always play to the level of their competition. they've stepped it up for these big games (ottawa, ny rangers) lately, and this should be a good one. im expecting another ot finish.
