GDT: Nashville @ Chicago (10/19/2003)

All I know is that the Preds better bring home a victory for my birthday!

Is Kloucek ready?, will Vokoun play 3 in 4 nights? will the team continue its improved play?

Predictions? Thoughts? Rantings? Ramblings?

I think we win a close one...Chicago got 7 hung on them by the Thrashers...and I think we are just as hot as the Thrashers...it all depends on how the Chicago D responds to the crooked number being placed on their heads...with out Zhamnov and possibly Daze...the Predators better go into their with nothing else on their minds expecting a dog fight if they don't they won't even get a point.

i wouldn't be at all surprised to see Mase get the start. I'm more curious as to who is going to play defense if kloucek ISN'T back(which i haven't heard any indication that he would be) with schnabel now hurt...unless eaton is ready to come back already...

Schnabel might be there, it was a cut, hopefully just through skin. I think Eaton could have played last night.

eaton said that it was injured in practice BEFORE the Blues game, he just "didn't want to take any unnecessary chances" last night, so if schnabel is out, i wouldn't be shocked to see him back tonight

I say 4-1 Nashville

Goals from Zidlicky, Legwand, Johansson and Arkhipov.

The allure of starting the season 4-1 is enough pressure for Trotz to start Vokoun..

Let’s go Preds!

This game worries me. Chicago can't be as bad as that 7-2 thrashing, and they are going to make sure Nashville knows it. We are a young team, and I am worried we might get a big head after starting off 3-1. Hopefully the last period and a half against Columbus was a wakeup call. If not, this game might not go our direction.

The Lou Holtz in me says 2-1 Chicago. The SmokeyClause in me says 5-2 Nashville. But Lou Holtz is a better coach so I'm giving the nod to Lou on this one.

4-2 Preds, going to be another busy night with the clicker, I may end up bringing in a second TV to keep up with the Preds/WS/SNF.

Mason's debut: Trotz said he will decide today whether to give backup goaltender Chris Mason his first start of the season at Chicago tonight. Tomas Vokoun started the Predators' first four games.

Mason is definitely in tonight. Just heard an amusing debate between Caley Crisp and a caller about Andy Delmore

The refs are letting them play. This is rarely a good thing when it comes to the Preds. Let's see how this plays out.

Where is Erat? Is he hurt or is it just another idiotic move by Trotz?

Either the ice is crap in Chicago or we are off our game.

Chicago is taking some liberties out there and the referees are letting them get away with it. High sticks, chargings, I just hope they don't get hurt. Atleast they called Vandenbussche for his cheapshot of Timonen.

Our PP sucks. I mean bad. Like I mentioned before, I don't know if it's the ice or Chicago or us. But something isn't clicking. We were doing well early but we didn't convert. Alot of our shots found skates or sticks and never made it through.

0-0 game after the 1st, sounds chippy ..

Hartnell mixing it up at the buzzer

Walker: "Their a little feisty after last night’s game .. we’re always ready for that"
