It always seems like when a player has great sucess in the NHL, his brother comes along and people think he will be just as good. Look at Brett Lindros, Brent Gretzky, Steve Kariya, and Alain Lemieux. Pathetic, they would have never even been drafted if it wasn't for their name.

I know there's at least a few pairs of cousins in the NHL right now, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Alain Lemieux was in the NHL before Mario. Alain was the real steel deal.

Jocelyn Lemieux, was he in any way related to the other Lemieux?

Yep, Jocelyn is lucky enough to be the brother of Claude the Great!

What are you talking about? Steve Kariya wasn't drafted...

And Alain Lemieux came first...

Also, Brett Lindros would have had a great NHL career and might even have gone to superstardom had he not have been so fragile with concussions - and no one foresaw that.

They're also related to Joey and Kory Kocur.

Messier and Daneyko are distant cousins if I'm not mistaken.
