what must have been going through his head

and I don't mean messier......but Jagr.

I reckon this was the main reason why he wanted to be in NYC. to find immortality that simple would never come to him in Pittsburgh or DC.

This sort of adulation is what motivates him to great performances with the Czech Nat Squad.......and I reckon NY has similar emotional spark.

The team as a whole must have really gone through a major soul search last night.
To see what winning means to NY....and that working harder is the only way this sort of feeling can ever return to Broadway.

I will be watching the game this afternoon in London.

BTW Thanks Mark. Since 1992 your retro blueshirt poster is hanging in my smelly hockey kit room - its turning into a shrine!

They were very flat in the first but after going down 3-1, they completely changed their game and dominated most of the game except when Edmonton was shorthanded!

Typically it is pretty hard for the home team to keep the adrenalin going

The emotion is usually drained from the team by just watching what had just transpired. I honestly expected them to lose. Give them high marks for coming back late in the 2nd and fighting through some very flat play to get the win.

after such a ceremony I am surprised they managed to come back.....
I am not talking about last nights game.....but a reflective moment of one's hockey careers...
