Boston Bruins firesale...

What would you offer for any Boston Bruins roster player excluding the following:

Patrice Bergeron
Brad Boyes
PJ Axelsson
Ben Walter
Hannu Toivonen
Milan Jurcina
Brad Stuart
Marco Sturm
Wayne Primeau
Andrew Alberts

The most tradeable assets are probably Sergei Samsonov, Andrew Raycroft and Nick Boynton. Guys who are probably deadline playoff rentals include: Glen Murray and Brian Leetch. So pick any of these three and add in guys like Brad Isbister, Travis Green, Hal Gill if you wish.

Bruins most desperately need top 6 forwards with speed and offense.

after getting rid of Scatchard we need to keep Green imo...although I guess Primeau would work.

i still think the Bruins should resign boynton rather then trade him, sammy too...but hey maybe those 2 do plan to walk.

While that would be highway robbery, I seriously think Boynton is exactly the kind of guy we could use, I'd trade for him but Klee would have to stay, that would give us a nice top 4 and would instintly stabalise our blueline.

Antropov and Domi is no where near what it would take though.

I agree with you. I would like to keep Green around, but if there's a deal out there and they want Green as a throw in, can't say that I'd refuse.

I would definitely like Samsonov and Boynton around long term, but what I said was that they are 2 of the 3 most tradeable assets in Boston. Sammy could potentially walk at season's end, but Boynton is still RFA so Boston can keep him if they chose.

But if Boynton could land a young top 6 forward with good offensive capability, I would do the trade. Stuart is the anchor on D and if we keep Tanabe, Jurcina, Alberts and yes Hal Gill, then we still have a pretty decent core.

As for the Antropov deal, I wouldn't mind getting him, but I highly doubt there will be much inter-divisional trades.

How bout:

Antropov, Stajan and Klee

for

Boynton and choice of prospect not named David Krejci, Petr Kalus or Martin Karsums or a draft pick

Leetch would be considered a playoff rental, sicne i beleive he is a UFA at seasons end. Murray on the other hand would be a playoff rental for 4 years. I guess you given up on the idea of Zhamnov getting dealt because he isn't even mentioned.

Axelsson-Sedin-Sedin would be a pretty cool line to see, although Anson Carter seems to be doing a pretty good job.

Matt Cooke would be nice, although I think he's over 2 million so I would doubt it.

I remember that Brendan Morrison was available not too long ago, dunno if he really was or still is but a nice deal could be worked around Morrison for Axelsson.

As a Bruin fan I'd say a big no thanks to that.

This team needs to be gutted.

I'd totally do that deal. It gives us a nice #2 (possibly #1) center far more productive than Zhamnov and rids us of 2 ridiculous contracts.

We'd have to be insane not to do this deal.

no stajan...

and honestly, I think antropov in his prime will turn heads... he won't be flashy and fast but he'll bulldoze his way to netting a few. Can't wait... he's gold when healthy.

antropov, berg, khavanov, 4th

for

boynton, 3rd

Yuck. I don't like antropov... If that was the best offer we could get for Boynton, and we'd have to give him up, I'd rather just have Antropov... you keep your garbage in Berg and Khavanov

If Leetch is an UFA at season's end the Sens will give you your choice of Pothier or Schubert and a 3rd round pick for him.

I'd be very interested in Samsonov and Boynton to Philly. I would, however, be unwilling to deal anyone named Richards, Carter, or Pitkanen (among guys under 23). Maybe something could be worked out with Umberger, Eager, Seidenberg, Meyer, and picks (1 1st, 4 2nds, 2 3rds). I'm not sure what Boynton's contract status is after this season (RFA?), I know that Samsonov is a UFA and he'd be a great acquisition for the Flyers.

What would the Bruins need for those two guys?
