great performance by the b's. potvin provided calm and solid netminding, and the thornton line was absolutely awesome. everytime joe's line is out there, good things are happening. i'd really like to see muzz get a goal right now, as it'd be good to get him off the schneid. either way, as stock rocks mentioned, how interesting that this team mirrored last year's road trip at 4-1-1. 1st game home after a long road trip is always a tough one, and the carolina trap machine usually provides us with a difficult matchup. let's give the boys a hand- WHAT A FRIGGIN ROAD TRIP!!!

Okay my observations from tonights game.
1. Potvin is really calm out there even after an early goal against he remained focused. He was really challenging the shooters tonight!
2. Joe,Knubes and muzz are great together.
3. PB is solid! he is like the extra smooth kind of PB(peanut butter)!!
4. It's so nice to actaully have a faceoff guy in Green. I mean when he told McGillis where to stand and then won the faceoff right to him was great.
5. Ducks, wild, Stars new jerseys are still UG_LY!!!

see the smile Raycroft has for Potvin and vice versa- they like each other and Potvin believe it or not- WAS, err IS actually pretty damn good at one time and has worlds of experience and I'm sure advice to help Razor.

Last year I never believed the team was that good when 19-4-3 especially when the lost Lapointe and Samsonov in that Calgary game with the streaker. This team will no way go 19-4-3 but they are much better.

Bergeron adds depth- unexpected depth; this team is deep, probably deeper than almost any team in the East.

Knuble is showing the offense he had coming out of college. He is built for that line. He may be vanilla but he's Breyers- what a shot.

The little guy #14 is pretty good- what a move...

And, what happened to Rick Toccett's hair?

Nice team effort .......still early in the season, but hopefully the effort of the last couple of games will be a regular thing. On a bit of a sidenote..........Pierre McGuire of TSN commented at least 4 or 5 times how PJ Axellson is one of the most under appreciated players in the NHL.........maybe Pierre being follically challenged is envious of PJs flowing locks :p :p

Overall.........happy with not only the result...but with the team effort and cohesiveness.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

"He may be vanilla but he's Breyers" - DKH on Knuble.
Ain't that the truth!

Potvin and Rayzor are both very good...and their chemistry is right-on.
Bergeron is here to stay, and their line (the BAR line or the BRA line left to right!!!) is my fave.
Green, Lapointe and Sammy does nothing for me: Sandy, Michal, and Teddy (what a signing!) is better. I love MOC's thinking..."The Rags spend so much, so I'll keep taking their fourth liners! They're bound to be decent enough!"

Shabby-sher, Krapryia, and Salami STINK!!!

Boston: TEN POINTS (on the road)
Denver (Colorado? As if people in Pueblo, Colorado Springs, or Greeley care - I KNOW for a fact that they don't): FOUR MEASLEY POINTS in their cushy sold out Pepsi Center.

I used to love the Avs, and I still like Foote, Hedjuk, Hinote, Floppa, Blake, and Sakic. But the rest are bums.

Wow all those guys crapping on Thornton really made a good call. I wonder how many will admit the mistake now. He was as dominant as a player can be.
Bergerion has to stay our 3rd line is better than the 2nd. PJ looked good as well as rolston.
Nice game by the cat as well.

MOC made a good call by crapping on Thornton...it woke him up.

I'll still reserve my right to criticize Joe until I see him drive to the net and get a goal. That how the big guys score. Right now his game is very Antoine Walker, to use a current analogy...sluggish, beefy, gritty when it's convenient (he floated tonnes tonight-Muzz had to do all the back checking because Joe couldn't be bothered), highly skilled, and clever...and not so hot in the post-season.

Dominant as a player can be? Joe? Tonight? Really??? Just because we beat the Avs 4-1? No way. Joe played well. You take away his uncanny passing and his game diminshes significantly. I'll take Knuble and Muzz and Rolston over Joe tonight.

And if he is 5'10 1/2, out of shape and has no skill he's me. But you can't take away his paiing skill.
I don't mind when people complain about a guy who isn't producing but when guys grind an axe it bothers me.

That goal tonight was mostly a result of the nice passing from Joe/Muzz, but there are a lot of guys in the NHL that wouldn't score that goal. Aebischer did a good job of getting across quickly, forcing Knuble to roof it. A lot of guys wouldn't have been able to get the puck up, which would have resulted in a nice save by Aebischer.

And both of Knuble's goals on Sunday against Anaheim were goal-scorer's goals, definitely not the result of his linemate's play (although Muzz did make a nice pass on the second goal, but that was a rocket of a shot by Knuble).
