I really recommend OwlBoy to anyone that hasn't looked into it. Beautiful artwork, and a really enjoyable game all around

Surprised to see SAO fans here. Not a fan of the series myself but I didn't think anime was even a thing here.

Bloodborne is great. I actually thought it was more difficult than Dark Souls 2, as you have to be very aggressive, but overall a super enjoyable and satisfying game. Beautiful too.

If anyone is looking for a mindless, fun, two person platformer, I recommend BroForce. It's on PS4 (and maybe PC), such a good time. I haven't laughed that much playing a game in a while.

It is something that has grown on me the last few years and I have used it to connect with some of my students, especially SAO. Personally I think the .hack series of games were better but I enjoy SAO as well.

Though the best game that fits the Anime theme that I have played was Valkyria Chronicles.

I'll 2nd this. Broforce and Rocket League are the 2 best pickup and play games I've played in a long time

I've heard good things about it. I used to play the One Piece Grand Battle games but sadly they are a thing of the past. I'm a big Fire Emblem fan now and while that's not really anime-esque it's sorta that style nowadays.

It's... uhhh, quite long. It would be immensely tough to get into the series nowadays.

There's a few other series I like but talking about anime on a hockey board just seems so out of place.

Valkyria Chronicles was so good.

Couldn't drag myself through the .hack series though.

Rocket League is on PSN sale this week. Is it worth $14? I was going to wait until it dropped further.

I honestly can't believe I used to pay full price for games.

Every week PSN has new sales, and flash sales often on weekends. I haven't had to pay more than 20 bucks for a game I've wanted within a year of release in god knows how long.

The only stubborn games that refuse to go on sale for a good price are Dying Light and Grand Theft Auto 5. GTAV is especially bad, it's never been less than 40 bucks. But I will not relent.

Well I got it from PS+, but I'd easily pay $14 for it if I hadn't gotten it free. It's got a fairly forgiving learning curve too. It's most fun if you know someone else that has it, but it's a great game either way. I'm huge into driving games and Fifa though so it's pretty much made for me

I have the game, but it got placed so far on the backburner that it hasn't even been touched.

Ni no Kuni needed better combat. Felt like a bad Tales game.

Same here!

There are a few exceptions (Uncharted 4, FF15 and Persona 5 being recent examples), but I'm usually down to wait out a game's price. Having a decent backlog helps kill the time

Was at best buy this evening trying to decide if I should get a ps4 or xbone when who should I see but Mcdavid, Nurse and Draisaitl. Not sure what they were buying and I didn't want to bug them, since they were there right at closing to avoid that sort of thing I assume. Anyway, still leaning toward a ps4, but the Xbox one s is pretty tempting at $400, and Forza 6 looks very nice.
