Looch has dropped the ball this season so far.........a few times McDavid has needed him, and he has been nowhere to be found...very strange. If I was the Oilers, I would remind Looch why he got that nutty contract...to keep people away from McDavid.
It's seems like maybe now he's got a huge contract, he doesn't want to get himself hurt, either. That's a lot of money to voluntarily take yourself off the ice.
It's funny to see Oiler fans saying Manning wouldn't fight McDavid.
Manning has fought actual fighters, why be scared of McDavid.
If Manning DOES drop the gloves 1st, people would freak for instigate fighting McDavid. McDavid never dropped his gloves at all. For all we know, he was chirping about Manning not fighting his big brothers.
OF COURSE Manning declined McDavid's bodyguards. Now this is still not over and they are focused on Manning when they meet again. Fighting possibly ends it. He doesn't WANT to end it. He LOVES the limelight. He is a borderline NHLer who has now stood out.
Manning would LOVE to take McDavid off the ice for 5 minutes. After all, he did it for half the season right?
And as we saw in McDavid's interview, he never said "Manning would not fight me". He said "our guys". McDavid was chirping all game...yet wanted someone else to fight his battles. Too bad one of the Oilers did not step up and have his back.
Oh well....game is long over. Flyers won, then won again. Oilers lost, then lost again.
This has to be the most embarrassing sentence ever written on this website...
If you agree with that old lunatic you need to take some time to worry about your own mental health.

There's no chance you don't really believe this.
Nobody is really foolish enough to believe that McDavid would have fought. Manning knew it too and McDavid was obviously just trying to act tough. Manning drops the gloves and McDavids stay cemented on, maybe Lucic comes in to save the kid but either way Manning ends up with a penalty. And if you think that a shove or two means there's gonna be a fight then you don't watch enough hockey. It happens hundreds of times a game.
Don't let your fandom override logic and common sense.
